Historic family home set it wonderful grounds (Grand ageing oaks).Positioned on the edge of Brocéliande forest. Paimpont and Merlins tomb within an hours drive if you like Arthurian legend. Ikea and other retail outlets are close by if you are looking shopping.Family suite was fine for 4 of us.Friendly and welcoming owner.

Brittany is stocked with cities and towns where one can linger for hours, soaking in the history, unique architecture, regional cuisine and friendly people. Some people are drawn to stay near the northeast coast so they can concentrate on visiting Mont St. Michel and St. Malo. This more familiar with the region may be drawn the Atlantic coast and places... More

the madame of the house rised her voice when she saw our electricel tea pot for making hot water for the following day of our 1200 km trip. NOT in my house you may use this. The so called dinner the night before was salmon from the micro oven, the wine was charged 13 € for 1/3 of bottle in... More

After a three week trip to France with our two young boys, this was where we stayed on our last night. We booked using Booking.com and there was some discrepancy that meant that although we had booked a suite for a family for a what we considered a fair price, it wasn't booked for a family but only for a... Very warm welcome and hospitality from our hosts, Jean-Luc and Marie-France. The evening meal they prepared was among the best we have ever experienced. The variety of tastes and textures for each course was remarkable. Altogether a truly great experience. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed for one night at this lovely, charming manor house set in 9 acres of garden. The house itself is over 200 years old and it has a separate hunting lodge dating back to 1540 which the owners, Jean-Luc and Marie-France, let on a weekly basis. We stayed in the house, which is tastefully decorated and... More

We found Chateau du Pin peaceful and truly welcoming. Discreet refined elegance and great charm define our hosts. Our Pierre Loti bedroom was most spacious, restful and comfortable. Excellent cuisine. Perfect stay! Catherine S

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. It is charming and we were very well looked after by Jean Luc & Mariefrance. We would certainly stay there again. It was also excellent value!

Lovely quiet parkland setting. Big old family house with with homely "French Revolution" decor. Classic staircase, uneven hardwood floors, lots of original modern paintings, including some of their own. Warm welcome. Excellent traditional breakfast. Do ask Jean-Luc to cook an evening meal for you - fabulous The beds could be better!

Stayed over night on our way back home from a two week holiday in the south of France. It is a really grand house (more manor house than Chateau) and a bit of the paint is peeling off. However don't let that put you off. The welcome from your hosts is warm, friendly and genuine. Our room was superb, although... More
