For the price it is not bad but the hotel is woefully understaffed and the rooms have shutters on the window which you would not risk leaving open over night. This means there is no natural light or air - hence the "prison" analogy. Hotel is on the edge of Argentan near industrial parks so many guests are tradesmen as... More

This place turned out to be more expensive than many places on our trip because I had to book two rooms for us and the kids most other places had sofa beds. Arrived about 7 pm on a Friday and despite the posted times saying the front desk was open till 11 and the restaurant till 9 the place was... More

Had a one night stopover each way when travelling to Poitou Charente. Rooms fairly small but beds and room clean. I am on crutches and needed ground floor accommodation but this was still quiet. All rooms are non smoking which is a bonus to me.. Varied buffet breakfast. Good value at 7.50 euros. Also three course dinner with buffet starter... More

Bed bugs. Seven of us in seven rooms and many of us had them. Old, plain furnishings. Moldy shower in very high tub. Good water pressure in shower. Skimpy, old towels. Odd half door half window facing the parking lot with bright lights on at night. Weak internet connections. On a busy round-about on a highway. Restaurant was busy with... More

Although when we arrived we were not enamoured by the location it served its purpose. The rooms were clean and adequate - we had a connecting room with our two children. We ate in the restaurant and we thought the food and wine was excellent for this type of hotel. The breakfast was also good and the staff very helpful.

An excellent stopover choice, extensive offroad but not secure parking. Greeted by polite and extremely helpful staff. The room even though ground floor and close to the road was not too noisy. Both the room and bed were clean with spare bedding available in the room should you require it. The bed was comfortable and afforded a good nights sleep.... More

Breakfast had plenty of choice and very nice. Dinners were good. Rooms were very clean. Location very good and good off street parking. Although next to a busy road it was very quiet at night. The man on the morning reception was very helpful.

We used this hotel as a stop off on our way to South France. Easy to find with good parking. We were concerned that we'd been advised there would be no reception staff or restaurant on a Friday evening. In the event there actually was a receptionist. We went into the pretty town to eat and there were a couple... More
