Possibly over-the-top décor. Not keen on the breakfast situation. Lovely setting for a dinner party but not liking families from 3 different countries sitting around a long table unable to converse. Food very basic. The pool appeared to be a pump-up children's pool. On the plus side the bedroom was huge.

We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Rooms are spacious and have a scenic view overlooking the Loire. Setting is very quiet and peaceful. Host was very friendly and helpful in making dinner reservations, etc. and sharing the history of the chateau. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed a lovely evening sitting out back sipping... More

The room was beautiful, well appointed, and had a great view. Very quiet and peaceful. Bathroom had a bath, which is not very common. Breakfast was one of our best in France. Host was very friendly as well.

We stayed in this BB for one night while visiting the Loire Valley. It has got a nice feeling of an old building and decor, sort of mix between a museum but at the same time an old cluttered house. The location is very good overlooking the river but we were not very lucky with the weather to enjoy the... More

We spent three nights in this very charming chateau which has been in the same family for over three hundred years. Marie France showed us to our room - a beautiful suite overlooking the River Loire and the terrace. So calm and peaceful. Wonderful antiques everywhere. A delightful sitting room for guests to use is available too. We went for... More

We stayed only one night on our transit across France. Had we known of the intriguing history and delightful charm and elegance of this old country house we'd have stayed a little longer. The location is tranquil with beautiful views over the Loire. The host is friendly, welcoming and very helpful, providing a guided tour and history of the house... More

Loved this B&B. My sister and I enjoyed staying here. The Chateau has been in Patrick's (the owner) family for over 250 years. It is located on the Loire River in a sleepy little town. Very comfortable and quiet. Patrick was a wonderful host. We told him we bought a bottle of sparkling wine and would like to enjoy it... More

Chateau de Colliers. What a wonderful way to go back in time and pretend you live in a castle surrounded by beauty located right on the Loire River. The bedroom had a canopy bed, a huge modern bathroom, antiques armoires. The whole castle was beautifully appointed with rich antiques and family portraits. The breakfast, served in an ornate room with... More
