We spent a week this summer with our 2 kids (aged 2.5 yrs and 3 months) and had a fantastic stay. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming and terrific, especially with our kids, our son kept asking for "his friend" the waiter/employee who was nearly babysitting sometimes. Great, huge and well decorated rooms, good layout for families. Top... More

Our stay at Carpe Diem Palazzu in Eccica-Suarella in the beautiful hills outside Corsica's capital, Ajaccio was our splurge for the trip to Corsica - is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth the expense? A resounding - YES!! This all suite, boutique hotel is luxurious and peaceful with glorious views and lovely but comfortable décor. We chose to stay in... More

This place is truly exclusive as there are only 6 "rooms". It's cosy and small which means that there are only few guests and as such are given great attention. A real luxury without being pompous at all... The rooms are actually a one bedroom apartment. The living toom is very spacious with lots of storage and all the commodities... More

We have stayed here for 3 nights. Staff is very friendly, the restaurant is excellent, rooms are big, clean and nicely decorated and the hotel situated near a small road with not to much traffic. It is a small hotel with only six rooms but with a restaurant (only for dinner). The menu was small but changed regularly and we... More

We travel all over the world and this has without question been in the top 2. In fact, we are planning our next trip just so we can go back and stay there. The amazing staff - the warmth and hospitality is there from the moment you arrive. We arrived quite late and "Fred" was waiting for us with a... More

When I read all the reviews and notes, I was sure to spend my money well, but... Briefly, the YES: very quiet, big room, free wifi. the NO: feeling of general depression (it seems they have to close, very sad), in absence of the owner no director of hotel, restaurant (3 days with no changes and the same very little... I had always dreamt of going to Corsica and imagined staying in a charming traditional hotel with its own character and just a few comfortable rooms, in a small village on the mountain far from the city noise... Well, Carpe Diem Palazzu was all that and much more! Its charming young owners Christian and Muriel have done a brilliant job... More

My husband and I just spent a weekend here and really loved the place. The house has been immaculately and loveingly rennovated to accommodate six idiosyncratically-designed rooms. The welcome we received from the owner and staff was warm and genuine. It was a place where you could really make yourself at home despite the small number of rooms. We dined... More

Having been 'burnt' in the past by hotels not living up to their internet photos and reviews, my partner and I were not only relieved, but truly delighted when we rounded the bend into the quaint villlage of Eccica Suarella, only 15 minutes' drive from the largest city in Corsica. This immaculately renovated, family-run boutique hotel sat proudly and neatly... More

My wife and i spent 2 fantastic nights at Carpe Diem and felt we had stumbled onto something very special. It is a true family run hotel in its first season. They spent a year rennovating an old mansion with just six enormous and beautfully decorated rooms that combine features of the original 300 year old building but with cool... More
