We spent two nights in Château Tilques at the end of a two week trip touring the battlefields. We had stayed previously many years ago and promised ourselves a return visit and we are pleased that we did. We stayed in a Double Room in the Pavillon Du Parc overlooking the lake and because the weather was so good we... More

The venue is impressive and worth a visit. The accommodating is well appointed and the prices for that quality not bad. The travel time is just about 45mins by car from Calais. Food very good and wine serlectuon excellent. I'd recommend it for a place to have a weekend. We will visit again.

The château is in a scenic rural area. It has spacious grounds, which are tended very well. Our room was comfortable with a rustic feel to it. It had a modern bathroom. The château has a rich and interesting history. There are tennis courts and a golf course on site.

Great convenient place to stay for the Calais area, but the rooms were small and shabby, saggy beds. That said brand new big bathrooms are lovely, just felt a little underwhelming when you get better room sizes and facilities in some chain budget hotels

I first came here many many years ago . The place is now very well decorated and has a lovely feel , as well as being conveniently close to the tunnel . Resteraunt is very good with staff who engage well . Very impressed with waiter who recommended a wine I may like ..... And more impressed that it was... More

Excellent! Firstly don't be put off by the 3 star hotel rating, that's really down to the lack of a lift I guess, but the overall hotel, restaurant and surroundings would rank at least 4 stars in my opinion. The food in the restaurant, and the breakfast were delightful, and the view from the window was lovely (the second floor... More

We absolutely love this hotel and never tire of visiting it.This time we brought friends from Hong kong, who loved it as much as we do.The food as always was fantastic..I could thoroughly recommend it.A very traditional hotel, with lovely rooms. The rooms in the pavilion are larger than the main house. We have stayed in both.A great place to get together with friends.

If you are travelling back to the UK and want a night in French Stately House in the countryside - this is it. Great rooms which ever way you are facing. Ones in the main house are stately - ones in the annex are modern, spacious, well appointed etc with bigger bathrooms. Single rooms can be small in main house.... More

Can't really fault the place. Nice large room with robes and slippers ready on the bed. Nice bathroom and loads of hanging space. Impressive building and grounds and a perfect spot to explore St Omer by bike about 4km away. Not sure why people are commenting about the breakfast as with cereals, cold meats and cheese, hot food, pancakes, toast... More

Have been many times and it's usually a joy. Restaurant is always good in the evenings but breakfast is very poor for this type of hotel. V limited choice. Got rooms in the chateau this time but will ask for pavilion next time as room was cramped. Also impossible to shower without creating your own swimming pool. And showers in... More
