Very difficult reviewing this hotel as we quite enjoyed it but it's not quite right. First it looks nothing like its photo, it is in dire need of smartening up both inside and out. Chuck out the plastic flowers and knick knacks, revamp the decor and it might pass muster. The garden is potentially lovely but the pond in the... More

I have been wanting to stay at this hotel for a long time but I was very disappointed in my room which to say the least was strange as the tea and coffee facility was in the bathroom. The room bore no resemblance to the one I booked and I was told I had an up grade rubbish. Restaurant was... More

We planned to stop here for the last two nights of our holiday having travelled in Spain and France. Our second stay following one night two years ago when we were disappointed not to have stayed longer. We prebooked dinner for the two nights as there were no other restaurants near. All the rooms are different and ours this time... More

This Chateau was our final stop on a 2000 mile road trip; we were so looking forward to this as the reviews seemed to lead us to believe this. On arrival we checked in a and shown our room which was on the top floor, with no lift and a very old rickety stair case, we said that the room... More

We stayed here on our last night in France. The room was beautifully decorated and the staff very helpful. We ate in the restaurant which was a gastronomic delight. We did not use the spa facililities due to time constraints but we will cetainly return.

The chateau is very beautiful and well furnished. It is isolated and far from any other attraction in the region. The restaurant is very good and prices are not that high. We have booked a standard room for 3 nights but we asked to sleep in a prestige one (paying the difference) in order to have a bathtub in the... More

we stayed here for one night and found them to be very rude and unhelpful. We only stayed one night and decided to leave. They would not let us park our car near the front door (i had two elderly people with me) and demanded we move it to the rear. the room was very basic and we were not... More

We needed a stop over point between the south and Calais, with a bit of luxury and a good restaurant. Chateau de Courban was a lucky find as it ticked all the boxes. We booked a prestige room in the garden - it was beautifully decorated and truly enormous, but well heated on a cold February day. The restaurant is... More

We stayed in this wonderful chateau for 3 nights on our way back from Lyon. We had reserved 2 rooms. Initially they could not find our reservation but immediately remedied the situation by offering my wife and I an upgrade. My son and his girlfriend stayed in a standard room, this was very luxurious with all the amenities you would... More

We were pleased to find this hotel, near Langres, as there seem to be few good places nearby. The hotel has a very pleasant garden and pool area which would be delightful in good weather. The restaurant was attractive and the food very good. The wine was expensive with nothing on offer for less than about 40 euros per bottle.... More
