we stayed here for one night and found them to be very rude and unhelpful. We only stayed one night and decided to leave. They would not let us park our car near the front door (i had two elderly people with me) and demanded we move it to the rear. the room was very basic and we were not... More

We needed a stop over point between the south and Calais, with a bit of luxury and a good restaurant. Chateau de Courban was a lucky find as it ticked all the boxes. We booked a prestige room in the garden - it was beautifully decorated and truly enormous, but well heated on a cold February day. The restaurant is... More

We stayed in this wonderful chateau for 3 nights on our way back from Lyon. We had reserved 2 rooms. Initially they could not find our reservation but immediately remedied the situation by offering my wife and I an upgrade. My son and his girlfriend stayed in a standard room, this was very luxurious with all the amenities you would... More

We were pleased to find this hotel, near Langres, as there seem to be few good places nearby. The hotel has a very pleasant garden and pool area which would be delightful in good weather. The restaurant was attractive and the food very good. The wine was expensive with nothing on offer for less than about 40 euros per bottle.... More

We had a stay of 3 nights. Our room was great, very nice decorated and we had a lot of space. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The swimmingpool and the lounge area were very nice. The food was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant and terrace were great. We are going back as soon... More

Sadly this place will always only be on our way through France on holiday either in the South or the Alps, so we are unlikely to do more than one night. That is a shame as this place deserves more! This is a delightful, low key and well run small Chateau in a quiet (i didn't see anyone at all!)... More

We stayed here on the way home from the Alps this summer. The chateau is beautifully decorated, and the staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel isn't cheap, but it's well worth paying a little bit extra for a luxurious stay. We booked dinner, bed and breakfast. The evening meal was delicious- really high quality, served with excellent local... More

Stayed 2 nights on our way back to Calais from Provence with our two daughters. It's a beautiful hotel, inside and out, with a warm French feel. Staff are friendly and their service was good. In the village there were a few pretty houses, a church and some pretty countryside - nothing else. Free bikes at the hotel were a... More

We have now used the Chateau De Courban on three trips to the south of France stopping overnight both ways. The Chateau has improved year by year as they invest in the facilities. The location is ideal, just north of Dijon and is great for families travelling with a dog - which they make very welcome, accommodating them in the... More

we stayed here 2 nights. One night on the way to the South of France and one on our return. The first night we found our room to be a bit dusty, so I asked them to look into it for our return visit since I am allergic to dust. I was impressed. I have never seen such a clean... More
