Our family stayed here for a stop over on the way to the Alps for a ski holiday and it was the most amazing piece of paradise we have found in a long time. Service excellent (happy to accommodate our late arrival), welcoming, beautiful rooms, charming setting, fabulous breakfast, great value, cannot wait to find an excuse to return

This was a one night stopover on our way home from the Alps for my family of five. I booked two standard rooms but was given an upgrade. We had two connecting (prestige) rooms in the outbuilding to the left inside the entrance gate. The rooms were beautifully furnished and comfortable with the slight exception to the extra bed in... It seems from other reviews that many stay here overnight on the way somewhere else. And that was true for us. In all likelihood we will return for a longer stay in warmer weather to make more use of what's on offer. The location is some way from arterial routes (especially if you arrive in the dark, in the rain... More

We stayed at this hotel on our way back to the UK in August 2014. The receptionist was lovely, she was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a lovely old french house with a spa and very good restaurant. Our classic room was spacious but a bit shabby and unloved. The bathroom and wc were separate and not very... More

We were 18 of us to celebrate over a week-end a birthday. Every single person enjoyed the beautiful settings be they outdoors or indoors, their respective rooms, the friendliness of the staff, the food be it at dinner or breakfast and some even the outdoor heated swimming pool though it was mid October! The organisation of the whole week-end which... More

Again, like most travellers using this chateau, we were only there for 1 night, as we were just passing through, my overall feeling is that the interior needs a good clearout, I quite like shabby chic, but honestly chairs with bulging foam where fabric has been ripped off need to be re-upholstered not have a tatty piece of fleece draped... Like many travellers, I guess, this was a one-night stopover on our trip farther south. It was farther off our route than I visualised but that is my fault and not that of the hotel. We had a chalet room which although very slightly quirky was nice enough, so no complaints on that score. Being quite an expensive stopover we... More

This is a unique hotel in a really beautiful setting - miles of countryside surrounds this small village Chateau - so if it is peace and quiet you are after, this is the place to come. The gardens are beautifully laid out and well kept. We brought our two dogs with us and so did not stay in the main... More

We we're put in a small room in the attic which is definitely not big enough for 4 people. They don't make it very easy for luggage as there is only stairs. The grounds are beautiful and the layout of the restaurant is as well but the food is not well catered for children or vegetarians as everything is meat... More

Anyone not rating this place must have stayed in some pretty fabulous places and have money to burn. We are critical if places don't live up to their claims and we have high standards and expectations of any class of hotel.First impressions as you drive into the small, lovely but typical french village are good. Reception was very welcoming and friendly... More
