The bride decided on an extended EU trip that since we were flying out of Linate Airport in Milan we might as well check out the town of Gorgonzola and stay the night.
The problem is that its a small city/large Italian town w/ very little accomodations.There is a very nice little downtown area and they a nice restaurant w/ an OK residence/hotel above it and then the Hotel Senator which is slightly out of town.
We decided sight unseen that the family would be best at the Senator and we were fairly happy. First, it's not easy to find, it's on the outskirts of town in an industrial area. There is really nothing but factories and a small sandwich shop @ it, so be prepared to drive for dinner.
The hotel is very new, very clean and almost .... a chic, contemporary structure. The only thing holding it back is the area it is in which just out of character. The inside is immaculate w/ a nice check in desk, a great sitting area where you can watch TV. The rooms are...
