With no room in the local inns, I stumbled across a great review of Grianamul, sent them an email and got a quick, 'We'd love to have you.' They were friendly, glad to help, provided instructions and suggestions for our visit and the most delicious breakfast. Their home is well thought out for visitors with some lovely extras and they... We had booked another B&B Tigh na Mara but when we arrived she had overbooked and had arranged for us to stay at Grianamul. How lucky we were. Lovely room, comfortable beds, very clean and great breakfasts. Anne and Ronnie couldn't have been more helpful. We'll be back.

Lovely clean and functional bedroom and bathroom. Breakfasts are just what's needed for an active day ahead with cereals, juice and a stonking cooked breakfast! Anne and Ronnie are most helpful. A superb B&B !!

We stayed here one night as we had to wait until Sunday for a ferry having spent the week in a self-catering cottage in Castlebay. Anne and Ronnie certainly run a lovely place. It is bright and airy and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was huge with the result that we did not need anything on the ferry! We will... More

A true home from home. Anne and Ronnie go out of their way to make you welcome. The house is spotless, the breakfast a excellent. Would certainly return. They seem to have a clientele that return year after year and its no wonder.

We have stayed with Annag and Ronnie many times and it is always a great pleasure for us. The bedrooms are lovely and beds are super comfortable, and all I can say about the breakfast is "SUPERB" All in all a great B&B with a lovely couple. Thank you both, Bob & Vicki.

Grianamul wasn't on the websites I visited when looking for accommodation on Barra for 6 adults. As I'd left it quite late and was specific about dates, non could take us. We were recommended to try the MacNeils, in a typical Highland hospitality way, by another B&B owner, Mrs McKinnon. The MacNeils were terrific in every possible way, from organising... More

Just back from our first trip to Barra (a long weekend). Annie and Ronnie made us most welcome at Grianamul, it was the cleanest B&B we've ever stayed in, the breakfast was just great to start the da with. The breakfast room had superb views over Castlebay. The room we had was super and the beds excellent. I am sorry... More

I fully share Micky’s reaction, and like him, I can’t help wondering whether we are talking about the same place. My husband and I have been at Grianamul twice, and always found the place extremely clean and pleasant and the owners helpful and friendly. At no time did we have any cause for dissatisfaction. Other negative comments I would put... More
