We stayed at Pousada Santa Clara for 3 nights in what is winter / dry season and it was an unforgettable experience. The Pousada has private rooms, shared bunk bed rooms and a campsite; there is a small swimming pool, a pond and plenty of outdoors space with hammocks, playing areas, football pitch . Our room was very simple but... More

From the moment we arrived we were made welcome and relaxed. The rooms were basic, comfortable and clean - anything more is not required. The food was mainly very good and quite incredible what can be done so far from shops. However, the highlights were the excursions. Tom, our guide, was excellent, informed and patient. We were also lucky to... More

Sleeping in hammocks or in a hotel? That's the choice here. Hammocks were very basic but ok for one night. Hotel is much better. Staff are really superb, food is good. Boat trips and nature walks all good.

I can't believe our luck, winding up at a place like this. Our stay here has been the highlight of my trip so far. From riding around on the back of a bumpy pick-up truck to lounging around by the pool and horse-riding, everything here was perfect. Especially of course the animals! Our fantastic tour guide Tom went out of... More

We had a great 3 day stay here, the food was excellent (I'm veggie) and our guide spoke English. The only downside was that we weren't told when we booked that the dorms are split male and female (nowhere else in Brazil was this the case), meaning we got there and had to pay to upgrade to a private room,... Our stay at santa clara was very good. The dorms where specious with good air condition and bathroom. The food wad far enough and reasonable quality. The only disappointment was that we must pay for the wifi ( 15 real ) per day) The stay in common was very comfortable.

We have had a great 3 day stay at the fazenda, and really had a good chance to see animals through a mix of boat trips, walking, horse riding and car rides. Our guide Sandy has been an important factor, as he was very enthuasiastic and actively searching for animals. He is also fluent in English and has a lot... More

As poor backpackers, we decided to go the Pantanal instead of the Amazon. We stayed here for 3 nights and didn't regret it, since it's a good budget option to see some wildlife. There are two possible options: you can sleep in the main pousada, the nice side, where they have private rooms with a bed and a shower, a... More

Part of an ecotours package. After travelling many miles down a dusty sand road into the vastness of the Pantanal we came to this pousada in the middle of nowhere. At the time of year we visited it was still a few weeks to the wet season when the whole area would be under water. The pousada is just above... More

I booked the camping first, but seeing it, the idea of sleeping in a hammock over there definitely seemed more romantic in my mind then it seemed comfortable. I choose to book a dorm instead and I would recommend anyone. You can't use the facilities of the lodge when you're in the camping, and those facilities are at least 2... More
