On May 2015, while a travel to Brasil, our family of 5 people visited Santa Clara hostel in the Pantanal. During our four days stay, we were happy to be guided by Solmo. Solmo’s hospitality was extraordinary and his explanations were comprehensive and clear. We also felt that he is extremely responsible and was very careful for our safety. Thanks... More

Santa Clara gave us more than we asked. We organized a 3 night Pantanal/3 night in Bonito trip with Ecoadventure.com.br (also a fantastic experience) and Santa Clara was the Pousada that was chosen for us. We new it was simple, as it was rated in Quatro Rodas as such, so we didn't expect luxury, but what we found was a... More

The lodge was very nice. We stayed in a private room which was lovely, although if the dorms weren't separated by sex we'd have stayed in the dorm. Food was great. The tours were good for the price (770 R$ each i believe for the dorm for 3N/4D, or eight hundred and something each for the private room - not... More

When we arrived at the lodge, they never told us we weren't allowed to share a dorm, but my friend and I were split up and put into separate gender dorms. Soon, dinner rolled round - rice with meat and beans was the main option. At 7:20am (slightly later than they said), we set off... Back down the same path... More

We stayed at Pousada Santa Clara for 3 nights in what is winter / dry season and it was an unforgettable experience. The Pousada has private rooms, shared bunk bed rooms and a campsite; there is a small swimming pool, a pond and plenty of outdoors space with hammocks, playing areas, football pitch . Our room was very simple but... More

From the moment we arrived we were made welcome and relaxed. The rooms were basic, comfortable and clean - anything more is not required. The food was mainly very good and quite incredible what can be done so far from shops. However, the highlights were the excursions. Tom, our guide, was excellent, informed and patient. We were also lucky to... More

Sleeping in hammocks or in a hotel? That's the choice here. Hammocks were very basic but ok for one night. Hotel is much better. Staff are really superb, food is good. Boat trips and nature walks all good.

I can't believe our luck, winding up at a place like this. Our stay here has been the highlight of my trip so far. From riding around on the back of a bumpy pick-up truck to lounging around by the pool and horse-riding, everything here was perfect. Especially of course the animals! Our fantastic tour guide Tom went out of... More

We had a great 3 day stay here, the food was excellent (I'm veggie) and our guide spoke English. The only downside was that we weren't told when we booked that the dorms are split male and female (nowhere else in Brazil was this the case), meaning we got there and had to pay to upgrade to a private room,... Our stay at santa clara was very good. The dorms where specious with good air condition and bathroom. The food wad far enough and reasonable quality. The only disappointment was that we must pay for the wifi ( 15 real ) per day) The stay in common was very comfortable.
