I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past ten years. It is lovely. Food is good, beds comfortable and wifi free. Usak is a wonderful Turkish town to visit. It is real rural Turkey (pop'n 180,000). Good shopping too.

I have twice visited this hotel, both times in the winter. I found it comfortable and cozy. Taxis re not supposed to stop in front of the hotel, so you have to be ready to get out and in in a hurry if there is no parking spot available. Not a big problem. The hotel is located in an older... More

We were driving from Ephesus to Cappadocia and wanted to break the journey. Usak is real Turkey, not another tourist in sight. The other reviews are accurate, the room was clean but a bit small, good breakfast, very nice central area and the staff were great. One even jumped in the car to show me how to get into the... More

Arrived at end of ramadan and found everything very quiet and subdued-understandable given the fasting etc-but as this is a hotel we expected more of a welcome. Central atrium is impressive and pleasant for a meal/breakfast-limited choice again because of ramadan. The room was smallish but clean and comfortable although a few wall hangings or pictures would have been nice.... More

It's an old caravansaray and you feel it in every corner. The atmosphere is charming. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served as open buffet, clean and delicious. Only minus is that we stayed there in Ramadan so we couldn't get dinner at the time we wanted because it was before iftar (the breaking of the Ramadan fast,... More

Very nice old building in the heart of the city-probably the best in Usak. Some people may find the standart rooms a bit small but as this building is an old inn, this is normal. The breakfast was good and the drinks in the minibar are on the house. Rooms are clean with standart size bathroom ensuite. I definately recommend... More

As we drove from Izmir to Usak I looked at hotels along the way. The quality appeared to fall the further we got from Izmir. We arrived in Usak and since it was a larger city I felt confident that the hotel would be OK. On arrival it was more than OK it was excellent. The welcome was warm and... More

This is a beautifully restored 19th century kervansaray ('coaching inn') with the originally open courtyard covered as the hotel 'atrium'. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with tasteful decor. The service was great and the staff very friendly - we didn't eat dinner so can't comment on the restaurant though the included breakfast was fine (we were the only... More

If you do find yourself in this part of Turkey, you should follow the Lonely Planet's advice and stay at this property. The hotel itself is over 100 years old and has been beautifully renovated to restore the feeling of the past. The experience is fantastic and much needed after a long day of driving or site-seeing on your way... More
