When looking for a place to stay, I wanted to make it as eco friendly as possible, so when I found Bryn Elltyd eco Guest House, I booked it straight away. My sister and I were going up to Snowdonia to do the Zipline and Bounce Below which are very near by and really we only needed a place to... More

We hired the whole place as a family and had a fantastic stay. John and Celia were brilliant hosts- they were welcoming and friendly and went the extra mile to help us enjoy our holiday. The breakfasts were delicious- so nice to wake up to the smell of homemade bread! loads to choose from as well as a full fry... More

I went with friends to stay at the guest house. We were in the hobbit, which is your own private guest room away from the house. The house is set in lovely grounds, we got a tour from John, saw the ducks, the sawna and the incredible view. They are really doing eco living and if you're interested there is... More

The best Eco accommodation we have stayed in; luxury balanced with sustainability. Even if you're not into the whole "eco" thing, this is a nice stay for anyone. The hosts are remarkable at welcoming you and attending your needs. Some people checked in and were left to their own devices, but as we were interested in what made Bryn Elltyd... More

Fantastic surroundings, food, company and local knowledge. A lovely stay. We had an excellent time exploring local castles and especially the zip lines and assault course in the nearby slate mines... A fantastic experience. We will definitely be back. We will try not to flood our wet room this time.

I arrived later than planned on a wet Friday night and on arrival I got a freindly welcome from the owners John & Celia. Celia offered me tea & cake whilst John carried my bag to my room which overlooked Tanygrisiau Reservoir. The breakfasts are large with plenty of variety from cereals, cooked breakfasts with eggs to order, yoghurts, fresh... More

No problems on the wet rooms. It is a learning curve. Put in originally so that wheel chair users can share our place. We recently stayed for four days in order to walk & explore Snowdonia. We stayed in the "Hobbit" room, which was very comfortable and peaceful, with a very nice wet room. The little porch was handy for coats & boots. John & Celia were very friendly and helpful, and we were inspired by how they live & run the guesthouse.... More

Looking for a few days of escape and calm, I found the ideal place to stay in Bryn Elltyd. I looked out across a lake from my room and was everywhere accompanied by hills and mountains and waterfalls. Numerous walks into the atmospheric scenery were on my doorstep. A café was the only neighbour and the nearest town was the... More

Thanks for stunning review. It is always a bonus to know our low carbon approach is appreciated. Some would say it is raining today here.....we say the waterfalls are superb and we are very energy rich with the same water used in 3 hydros in 3 miles. The hosts were very friendly and more than happy to help with any questions we had about the area. They provided a lovely vegan breakfast and kindly worked around our planned activities, even though it meant an earlier start for them. The guest house was clean and very homely. Cute indoor and outdoor areas to sit and relax. We have... More

We stayed in a converted farm outbuilding, Twlc Mochyn; with one large-double-bedded bedroom, and a wetroom with shower, basin and toilet. While small-wheelchair friendly, using a hoist might not be easy. Staying 7 nights in late June 2015, our room was amply serviced every day. The breakfasts were magnificent, catering for our vegetarian taste in organic foods, with freshly made... More

It as a pleasure when we get reviews like this. A week is a long time in a strange place with mixed weather. You photo of the cats being fussed is great.
