We stayed one night in the Huasquila Amazon Lodge during our recent trip to Tena and enjoyed it immensely. Our host Cecillia arranged to have breakfast available early on the day of our departure so we could make our raft trip with Rios Ecuador. Dinner was lovely, and it was fun to converse with the other guests after dinner over... More

We stayed a party of four in two very roomy and comfortable huts . Miguel the english speaking guide was very attentive and knowledgeable without being "pushy". the managment and Miguel adapted the tours to our interests and want and were very flexible with last minute nuances. The meeting with the Kishua Community, their customs and ceremonies were an eye... More

First of all this lodge is definitely off the beaten path (about 20 minutes from the main road) so you are definitely in the jungle. the rooms are plenty big enough with screened windows and very tall thatched roofs. Plus Electricity & instant hot water, which believe me you will be glad of after a day in the jungle. The... More

I had a wonderful stay at this lodge. The staff was overwhelmingly helpful and worked to make a personal relationship even during such a short stay. The tours were phenomenal and those memories will be treasured for years to come. The food is also INSANELY good! The service is top notch (ex: after a long hike, one of the staff... More

As an introduction to Amazon life -- modern and traditional --, my 11-year-old grandson and I had a wonderful 5-day experience at Huasquila. Trent especially enjoyed interacting with Quichua children during the visit to a traditional home and demonstrations of traditional dances and cooking. And the extra visit to a village where the women have taken the reigns made this... More

We just returned from a three week trip to Ecuador with our family of 5 - my husband and I along with our 3 teenagers. We loved our time at Huasquilla Lodge. The booking process was so fast and easy - Bastienne answered all our questions quickly and made us feel confident we'd chosen the right place. We had! Cecillia... More

A huge thank you to Bastienne and Pablo for making my daughter who is 9 and myself feel so welcome. It was a real family atmosphere which not all places have. It was inspiring to see your reforestation efforts come to maturity and to be able to speak to people who saw it when you had first started out. The... More

The lodge buildings display traditional Kichwa roof construction with modern amenities, creating a cozy safe environment for jungle travelers. The food is exceptional. Hosts and staff are very welcoming and happy to ensure you enjoy your stay. Sightings of Tucans are the normal at the lodge along with other wildlife which you don;t often have the opportunity to see.

We had a fantastic stay at huasquila logde! We stayed there with our boys, 11 and 13 years old and truly enjoyed the Amazon experience in this lodge.
