Aktau does not offer too choice when it comes to hotels (or anything else, actually) and Grand Hotel Victory turns out to be quite ok. It works. We stayed there for a few days on a business trip and felt quite comfortable. The room was big, the bed comfortable and air condition worked well. A functional bathroom. Clean. Complimentary wifi... We were there in January. Big room with nice view to the Caspian sea. Helpful people at the reception, nice food at the 6th floor and great health club. There was some problems during our staying, but everything was resolved at my first request. Thanks...

Feel the other reviews don't quite do justice to it. My room had slight view of ocean, was clean, well attended to (aside from not leaving enough hand lotion and shampoo). Service and pasta with shrimp was good in 8th floor English pub. Health club is amazing---especially for this area. Bar next to it could be better---especially if on warm... More

The rooms are very clean and have good sizes. Breakfast is the area which needs an improvement. However, the restaurant/ bar at 8th floor is well designed and popular in the evenings among the expats. The staff is very helpful. I didn’t use the fitness facilities, so have no idea. The hotel has a direct access to the shopping mall... More

I used to stay in this hotel couple of times in past but its condition and service deteriating rather quickly and from firm 4 stars three years ago i can award 2 stars at the best now. Hotel in need of complete renovation, staff must be trained - especially those working in reception. The positive thing is cleanless of the... More

The Grand Hotel Victory used to be a much better place to be. Of course it's never been a 5 star hotel and is no competition to the Renaissance, yet it had quite honestly delivered in its medium price category with spacious rooms and good location close to all major businesses in Aktau. However during my recent stay in February... More

I stayed there for one night this month. It was a couple of years since the last time I’ve stopped here. They did improve a lot. At least the personnel seems to be more qualified. As from my last visit, the best thing that I remember is a wonderful view from a balcony. Well planned location for a Hotel. Prices... More

I was there in Sept 12 for business. it is a privately owned hotel, but it is a competitor to Renaissance hotel, while almost twice cheeper. Rather big rooms, clean bathroom. Nice breakfast. Professional staff. Very nice kitchen in its terrassa restaurant, good choice of draft beer. Clean pool and facilities. Some renovation is required though. Furniture is not the... More

I stayed for 2 nights in mid-Oct, with colleagues on business. It faces the sea, but with the main road in front (3 lanes in each direction).

The hotel is about 25 - 30 mins drive from the airport.

Check-in was quick & efficient - but it was in the early hours of the morning, so no queues.

 The allocated... More
