A review of contrasts. Not far from being both 'very good stopping off place, will be back' and 'never again'! This is not a caravan site, so don't expect one. It's a farm setting which stores 30/40 caravans next to a large hard standing area where caravans can pitch with electric hook-up. The hard standing cover is pretty heavy duty... More

I recently stayed at this B & B. My room was no bigger than a broom cupboard. Single bed took up most of the room. I could not even lay my suitcase down to get items out. It had to stand at the end of the bed and this made the movement space even tighter. Movement in the room was... More

Hello Rhona Thanks for your reply but sorry to hear that you could not tell us of your bad experience. On the email that I had sent you on 05/03/2015 I had mentioned that we provide a continental breakfast so I am unsure why you expected a cooked breakfast. We feel that a single person staying in a room that... More

I stayed at this place while on business trips to the west of Scotland. I found it to offer excellent value for money, excellent services, all in, I could not have asked for more. the people were very friendly, and I thought the choice was excellent

Camping trip for large group. Friendly family run site. Facilities basic but clean. Toilet block has been modernised to a good standard. We are group of 30+ people and the camp field was very big and could have catered for a lot more. Family who run site spent lots of time with kids giving them tour of farm and even... More

The owner is lovely, and very helpful. The amenities are very clean and everything you need is there and works: washer, drier, iron, ironing board etc. There's a beautiful view across Glasgow at night and Ben Lomond during the day. The price was comparable to other caravan sites used. Nothing to complain about at all.

Very ordinary place to stay. Rooms quite small and a bit dated. Like the rest of the house. Our room did have and ensuite which was a bonus but it also was in need of a lot of TLC. No cooked breakfast was available and choices presented did not offer much variety. Our advice would be to find somewhere else... More

I stayed here in 2012 whilst cycling lands end john a groats. I camped at many places but this was the worst. The owner was friendly but essneitally you are charged £8 to camp in a farmers field. - The field had livestock in it (whilst we were camped there) and so poo was everywhere. - The ground was not... Fantastic experience, the woman who owned the bed and breakfast was very helpful with locating us on where to go. The location is slightly out into the countryside but not too far from some villages. A great selection for breakfast and the stay was clean and one of the best nights I have had. I feel like part of the... More

Pannel Farm advertises itself as a caravan site. We arrived after booking well in advance to find that the 'caravan site' is an old storage yard littered with ancient caravans and old farm machinery. It is miserable, depressing and bears no resemblance to any caravan site I have stayed on in 20 years. You have to scramble between stored caravans... More

Poor service. Like staying at your grans, but you have to pay! Awful breakfast. One bathroom. Dirty. Decor from the last century. Furniture to match. And, a Cuckoo clock and grandfather clock to wake you every hour...... What more do you need?
