Had a night in Strumhor recently combined with a bit of paddling on the sea with Tony Hammock's Seafreedom Kayak. I stayed in the single 'Appin' room, it was spotlessly clean with breathtaking views across the Falls of Lora and Connel bridge. The service was fantastic, Tony and Olga are superb hosts. The lounge has a log burning stove, piano,... More

We stayed for a few nights and i could have stayed for weeks. Our room was so comfy with the most stunning view of the water. Olga is the most amazing hostess. She was kind, and very knowledgeable of the area and available tours with good suggestions on the best way to see the puffins (a truly magical experience). we... More

Stayed for 2 nights with my husband and our recently graduated daughter. The moment we walked in, we loved it! The well appointed cozy rooms, the gorgeous views of Falls of Lora, the sunny conservatory, the residents lounge - all perfect! Olga, our host, made our stay extremely comfortable...welcomed us with afternoon tea and chocolate brittle. The following day, she... More

Such a warm, friendly and homely place that we were tempted to go to breakfast in our PJ's! Olga is the consummate B&B host - interested and interesting, present - while not being intrusive, a fabulous cook and extremely generous in her sharing of home appliances (putting paid to the looming crisis of the unwashed 'knickers'). In fact the only... More

Stayed at Strumhor for 2 nights. Everything was just perfect, well apart from the weather but that didn't matter, we are in Scotland after all. We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we stepped through the door and our room (lorn) was beautiful, everything we needed and more!!,, and also the most beautiful view of the water... More

We stayed for 2 nights in early June 2014. Warm and friendly welcome from Olga, excellent breakfast and what a view from the sun lounge over the Falls of Lora and towards the sunset. In fact perhaps the best residents' lounge in any B&B that we've been at. Strumhor is convenient for Oban without staying in the town (we were... More

From Olga's welcome (together with tea and cakes) our stay was superb - again. The view over the Falls of Lora was incredible and ever changing and the otter was on time at 10 each evening. The rooms were lovely, everything we needed was there and the breakfasts were to die for. What else is there to say, except "thank... More

The very best B&B - great accommodation and such welcoming hosts. The breakfasts are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. In the evening we sat in the conservatory and watched an otter playing the the loch. I would recommend Strumhor to all my friends.

What a beautiful place to stay overlooking the Falls of Lora. A very warm welcome, lovely rooms and a great breakfast - nothing is too much trouble for Olga and Tony. The ground floor double rooms were ideal for us and my mum who is elderly and can't manage stairs. We will stay again soon many thanks Chrisy.

Can't recommend this BnB enough. The quality is outstanding, the welcome is lovely (as is the welcome coffee and cake!), sitting in the sunroom looking directly out over the Falls of Lora reading their wildlife log and checking for otters through the spotting scope is one of the great treats of life. Breakfast is delicious and home cooked (pancakes and... More
