Well.. from day one booking seemed casual and getting an email confirmation took over 6 weeks. Rooms as per everyone else's comments but I think the staircases are a health and safety hazard. First night I was woken at 3.45am by someone in the garden overturning trestle tables. Second evening I returned to find room not made up nor cleaned.... More

This is an excellent pub with rooms. The room I had was a little quirky being a small sitting area and an upstairs bedroom area reached by spiral staircase. Certainly not suitable for anybody with mobility issues! However, staff were attentive, and the food was excellent. However, business travellers beware. Breakfast only starts at 9:00 am. Didn't bother me as... More

Needed somewhere to stay while attending a funeral and found The Vineyard on Tripadvisor. This is a nice gastro pub with newish, custom built rooms attached. The accommodation is tiny - a small sitting area downstairs- just room for a sofa and TV, There is then a tight little spiral staircase up to the bedroom in the eaves. You need... More

My partner and I booked the Vineyard as a late getaway for Valentines Day, including overnight accommodation and the four course evening meal. The food was really excellent: Scallops, Rump of Lamb, Panacotta were all faultless. The service was very good and we both thought the prices were very good value for money. We will be back. We stayed in... More

My partner and I travel a lot but never come back to the same place. Vineyard was an exception and we stayed there again last month. The place is beautiful, the service outstanding (Iga is a gem!) and food delicious. We stayed in Bachhus this time and it was as fab as before. I disagree with other comments about ceiling... More

We stayed here he night before my wedding and took the two larger flats - Bewl and Scotney. They were both incredibly cute. It is true that the staircase is a bit tricky but as the wardrobe and bathroom were downstairs I didn't have to cart much up them. The bathroom was something else - a gorgeous walk in shower... I stayed in their rooms for 2 nights for my friend's wedding. What a lovely setting. The little chalets are gorgeous and the staff are really helpful and friendly. In terms of food, I only had breakfast but the portions were big and the food, delicious. I will definitely go back if I'm in the area again. Well worth a... More

My wife and I had booked this hotel several months earlier as we were in England to attend a wedding in one of the nearby villages. We checked in for two nights on a Friday around 4.00 but due to a wedding party being held at the hotel had to fight our way from the car park to our room!... More

I stumbled across this hotel on laterooms one day after searching hours for a place for that weekend with good reviews, upon arrival the hotel/pub/restaurant didn't disappoint, the place is split internally and externally, ill start with the external as thats the main focus upon arrival from the carpark (btw the carpark is adjacent to the rows of vines themselves),... Very nice to have own front door into beer garden with table and chairs on a small patio. The bed and shower were both excellent. The footprint of the unit is small with the spiral staircase leading to the bedroom a disincentive to overindulge in the bar - steep and narrow! Beer was fine, although selection a trifle uninspiring, but compensated... More
