Monpazier is a lovely little town and this is the perfect place to stay! The house is beautiful - like a mini chateau - the rooms are very nice, lovely swimming pool. Didn't sample the food as the restaurant was closed for the evening but the very friendly owners recommended a good restaurant in town. more

Edward1er is a good base for some fantastic walks in the area, Walking guides are available from the tourist office close by. The hotel is good, the menu in the restaurant is limited in choice but what is cooked is good. In town their are various place to eat and also very good quality. People in town are very friendly... more

We stayed 3 nights at Edward 1er and had a fantastic time, the hotel is a real gem and the village of Monpazier is just lovely. We took advantage of the evening meals on offer and could not believe the standard of food - Marije should have a mitchelin award. I would highly recommend this hotel. more

On our way to Bergerac, we stopped at the beautiful bastide town of Montpazier and decided to stay for two nights there rather than in Bergerac.
