The enchanting gardens were a wonderful surprise. The chateau is a beautiful and historic building and we felt privileged to stay there. In England it would be exactly the sort of place owned by the National Trust. The owner was helpful and we were given the choice of two rooms. We stayed here four years ago for our honeymoon and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very elegant without being overdone. The view of the country was excellent. It was precisely what we wanted -- elegant, but not lavish. Beautiful, beautiful country! I found the owners very hospitable with much advice and many good recommendations of sights to see.... more

Whilst the Chateau is an interesting and alluring melange of classical and modern interior for those seeking something away from the standard kitsch; regrettably, our stay was overshadowed by a cold and restrictive welcome, which became indifferent at best.
