A modern renovation of a large simple building provides the rooms here. They are very simply in a modern style, not everyone's taste but we liked them. The beds were large and comfortable and we had no complaint about the bathrooms. Dinner was very good but the ambience was somewhat soulless as is the case for the hotel in general.... More

Old chateau in French countryside about an hour from Toulouse. Unsympathetically modernised. Rooms extremely basic and layout not the best - you had to go through a meeting room to get to mine. If you like rural France then it's probably your cup of tea, if you don't then you'll hate it. Food was French over-elaboration at its worst. Don't... More

I live locally and can report that I have had a good Sunday lunch here recently but the restaurant is soulless, with tables that are too big, and a dismal outlook. Several English friends have stayed here and all have been very disappointed. The bedrooms and bathrooms are awful with 'minimalist' decor, bad lighting and poor facilities. One couple (paying... What a find! We were just looking for a stopover having arrived at Toulouse and on our way to visit Millau Viaduct and I took a gamble on this hotel. It is fabulous. An very old building converted beautifully with a modern twist (obviously not to everyones taste given the other reviews). The rooms were clean, comfortable and air conditioned.... More

This was a memorable place for a short stay - stylish, minimalist interior in wonderful old stone exterior, and very classy food. But a bit expensive for more than a short stay, and not exactly cosy.

OK, there isn't a suit of armor in the reception and the rooms aren't outfitted with antiques. The architect might describe his work as "unadorned". But the rooms are spacious and bright, and the restaurant is deserving of its Michelin star. If you are partial to things Medieval, you only need to step outside and look back at the golden... More

So I agree with most of the reviews. The decoration is odd and the bathrooms are terrible. I stayed in room 17 and the view and size of room were great. Staff was nice and helpful for things to do in the region. Don't eat at the restaurant as it is not that great. Go to Albi. It is only... More

We loved Chateau de Salettes. This old chateau has been fantastically restored and modernised. Although there is a stark contrast between the old and the new we loved it. It was bright, modern, well appointed and the family room we had was enormous, infact one of the best family rooms we have stayed in (5 people, two seperate double rooms... More

We took up the Hotel's special offer in mid December. We stayed in room 19, it looked wonderful, it was very clean and luxurious. It was very disappointing that I could not sleep at all because of the bed, a thin mattress on boards squeaking every time I moved. Dinner was brought to us with no choice offered in an empty... More

Lovely old Chateau (farmhouse) but it has been completely redone MODERN ! Picture Scandavian stark wood uncomfortable furniture. No beside tables but a stalk-like light that comes out of the headboard (poor for reading). Hardwood floors without rugs. Of course lovely bathrooms and air conditioning, We are old folks and when we see a Chateau hotel we expect it to... More
