Stayed for 7 nights recently. We had the two rooms on the ground floor, which opened up on to a stoned driveway. Very pleased overall, rooms nicely done but perhaps the shower/bath in our room needs some attention. (Maia). My parents were next door in matrae which was fine but only had a small shower room, next to this is... More

Stayed three nights in this elegant, small chateau, with its pleasant breakfast room and comfortable library for the exclusive use of guests. I think there were only 4 bedrooms available in the main building and 6 in the more modern annex, so it is in a sense quite exclusive and certainly very quiet. I note a previous reviewer emphasised going... More

We spent a very pleasant night here. The chateau is just of a road but we didn't hear any traffic. The view onto the vinyard is pleasant and we picnicked in the gardens the evening we arrived, having bought some basic picnic food from the Casino supermarket just up the road (less than one km). We washed the picnic down... More

Wonderful location 7 Kim's from MargAux et 25 from Pauillac. Very clean. All the staff is very nice and polite. We stayed in a huge room in the modern aisle which had no view but the bathroom was really nice. In the beginning we were to stay in the chateau where the room was quite small and the bathroom basic... More

Stayed one night in this working winery and real château on the east side of Castelnau-de-Médoc. It was the most luxurious lodging we had in the Bordeaux area. This location works very well if you are visiting the Left Bank commune wineries - close to Margaux, St.-Julien, Pauillac, and St.-Estèphe. Château Meyre is close to a decent-sized town (Castelnau-de-Médoc) with... More

We stayed in Chateau Meyre for 2 nights in the Vanilla room in the chateau itself. The room was clean and pretty, with a superb view of the surrounding vineyards. Not a breathtaking room in itself but very comfortable and amazing to be in the main chateau with all its grandeur. The chateau itself is beautiful inside and out and... More

Very tired, possibly someone's pride and joy in the late 1960's but neglected since, The wi-fi is totally unreliable, and very slow when it worked for a nano second (after main and local routers re-started) making it in practice unusable, so don't bother. The room telephone did not work (trying to call reception for wi-fi help), the t.v. remote did... More

Le Clos de Meyre is perfectly positioned to explore the area west of Bordeaux city. Access to the main routes is easy and close by. The Chateau is very comfortable and we had no problems staying in the annexe. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff were most helpful and the amenities (swimming pool, sauna etc.) were excellent and... More

We stayed for 2 days in the room Floralia (charming and romantic room), in the main building of chateau. The lobby and breakfast rooms are well kept and very nice furnished. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was not great, but ok. From my point of view the castle is well placed in the middle of vineries... More

Chateau Meyre was the highlight of my trip to Bordeaux. This boutique and charming hotel located within 5 minutes of Margaux. It has seven beautifully appointed rooms and a beautful property which is well appointed with swimming pool, croquet, vineyards and more. It was a treat to be "royalty" for a night in your own chateau. During sunset I stolled... More
