Stayed one night in this working winery and real château on the east side of Castelnau-de-Médoc. It was the most luxurious lodging we had in the Bordeaux area. This location works very well if you are visiting the Left Bank commune wineries - close to Margaux, St.-Julien, Pauillac, and St.-Estèphe. Château Meyre is close to a decent-sized town (Castelnau-de-Médoc) with... More

We stayed in Chateau Meyre for 2 nights in the Vanilla room in the chateau itself. The room was clean and pretty, with a superb view of the surrounding vineyards. Not a breathtaking room in itself but very comfortable and amazing to be in the main chateau with all its grandeur. The chateau itself is beautiful inside and out and... More

Very tired, possibly someone's pride and joy in the late 1960's but neglected since, The wi-fi is totally unreliable, and very slow when it worked for a nano second (after main and local routers re-started) making it in practice unusable, so don't bother. The room telephone did not work (trying to call reception for wi-fi help), the t.v. remote did... More

Le Clos de Meyre is perfectly positioned to explore the area west of Bordeaux city. Access to the main routes is easy and close by. The Chateau is very comfortable and we had no problems staying in the annexe. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff were most helpful and the amenities (swimming pool, sauna etc.) were excellent and... More

We stayed for 2 days in the room Floralia (charming and romantic room), in the main building of chateau. The lobby and breakfast rooms are well kept and very nice furnished. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was not great, but ok. From my point of view the castle is well placed in the middle of vineries... More

Chateau Meyre was the highlight of my trip to Bordeaux. This boutique and charming hotel located within 5 minutes of Margaux. It has seven beautifully appointed rooms and a beautful property which is well appointed with swimming pool, croquet, vineyards and more. It was a treat to be "royalty" for a night in your own chateau. During sunset I stolled... More

The reviews for this Chateau seem very mixed and it appears to me this depends in part on whether you stay in the main chateaux or in the the annexe to the main building. Unfortunately we ended up staying in one of the family rooms in the annexe which lacked some of the basic facilities that you would expect in... More

We booked this for 155€ a night and expected to stay in the chateau. But the main building advertised has only 3 rooms.nthe other 4 rooms are in the annexe or pavilion modern which is basically an over priced motel. The room was dark and dungeons with half a window. We stayed at some 'real' chateaus and this looked like... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. Unfortunately, someone advised us to split our time in Bordeaux so after 3 nights we left. We had the misfortune to go to Chateau Soussac which was like being banished to a dungeon after being here. Do not go there.this chateau has everything. Great location, close to all the major chateaus, nice sized comfortable... More

Stayed one night at Chateau Meyre in September in the Ceridwen Suite which was situated on the top floor of the main chateau building. The sleeping room was huge and the bathroom was super HUGE with a nice shower cubicle plus a big bathtub in an adjacent room. Attaching to the sleeping room were a private lounge area and a... More
