Judging from the amazing reviews of the Chateau Meyre, I can only assume that something has changed in the management in the last 12 months. The accommodations themselves were lovely, so is the Chateau. The problem is, there is little or no service. The reception closes at 7 p.m. so if you need anything, you are on your own. We stayed here for 3 nights 19th-22nd September and loved it .Beautiful room (Floralia) a little small and very flowery but perfect all the same,over looking the front gardens and vineyards.Good continental breakfasts in a comfortable dining room,also a nice relaxing lounge.This was a Chateau with a very relaxed,homely atmosphere and is a perfect location for Margaux and exploring the... more

Great place to stay. Lovely old chateau and grounds in the middle of vineyards. Our room was in the old chateau (not the new wing) and it was beautiful. The most amazing place in a great location for wine tasting in Bordeaux!!!!! The girls that work there are gems and so helpful. The property is clean - has a tennis court and pool too.
