My husband and I stayed here for just one night as we were wrapping up our honeymoon and were en route to Nice. It's a definitely remote, but it was perfect for two days/one night. Upon arrival, we were greeted in English and readily attended to. We were given two glasses of champagne to enjoy as they parked our car... More

Excellent location, facilities and service. Set in its own vineyard the chateau is in very good condition with recent renovation having been done. Facilities are also good with a wide range of leisure activities provided. The rooms (our room at least) was very good with a private balcony. Meals in The Orangery were of a good quality and service very... More

My wife and I just finished a week's stay at Ch de Berne and loved it. We disagree with many of the negative comments by other reviewers. As others have mentioned, the Chateau and the property are beautiful. It couldn't be more quiet and serene - if solitude is what you're after, this is the right place. As Sunseeker1309 put... More

We've just stayed here for a couple of nights and have to say we were disappointed. The hotel is in a stunning location in its own vineyard and woods, and seemed quiet and relaxing upon arrival. However, there were a number of things that let it down. Firstly, on arrival, although the greeting was fine and we were given a... More

We arrived after a cote d'azur blitz of 4 days in Nice/Cannes/St.Tropez/St.Maxime. The Chateau is for sure the best place we stayed during our time in France. Super Authentic. great service. Lovely quit location in the middle of nowhere. A great place to relax in total luxury. A must if you are in the area.

We stayed at chateau Berne for 4 nights towards the end of August 2014 to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary. There is much that is positive about the experience, the chateau is beautiful and is surrounded by extensive grounds which have been lovingly landscaped, planted and are carefully maintained. The swimming pool is excellent but unheated, there is a vegetable... More

We stayed here on our honeymoon in July. Once you enter the property, you still take roughly 5 minutes by car to get to the Hotel, it is huge and beautiful. it is a beautiful old house. However, it is private so you can't really go in. The Hotel is built in the surroundings of the main house. We arrived... More

Enjoyed a short weekend break here in July. The hotel is on a vast wine estate, about an hour's drive from Nice airport with the end of the drive (past Lorgues) on small country roads. As a result, the hotel area is very tranquil and quiet, surrounded by lavender and vines. The setting is the most impressive aspect of this... More

On the way back to London we stayed just one night with our Labrador included. The room, restaurant, breakfast and the beautiful countryside meant one day was not enough to take full advantage of the wonderful sporting activities, so we will return for longer next year. All the staff seemed very pleasant and helpful so we gave the hotel top... More

We stayed here after the hotel we had booked into was flooded during some recent storms. We had the "last available" room, which was adjacent to the kitchens. It had a lovely terrace overlooking the vines and the setting is beguiling, set in wonderful grounds amid a vineyard with some nice marked walking trails. The decor was rather tired and... More
