Hotel was beautifull located surrounded by vineyards. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Spoke english. Coordinated bike rental for us. Our room was clean and roomy. Bathroom was modern. Quick drive to downtown Beaune. more

I highly recommend this charming, friendly and elegant hotel to everyone as the best experience of our 2-week vacation in France. It is 5-minutes outside Beaune in the little wine-making village of Chorey Le Beaune on the main wine route of Burgundy. Family owned and operated. Friendly in best French hotelier tradition. Interior and exterior elegance. Air conditioning works effienciently... more

We stayed at the Ermitage de Corton for two nights in June over the weekend. The hotel (chain Hotels et chateaux - a good chain in France) is well located just off Beaune. Although it is on a national road, it's not too loud and quiet. We booked a standard room, which was quite large, the bed was confortable but... more

The last review was posted a year before our stay. We were expecting a very mediocre standard, as previous reviews had suggested. However we had no alternative to book here as the other hotels in the region were full. We were given Room 5, which overlooks a lawn and swimming pool. As our expectations were fairly negative, we were surprised... more

We wanted an independant hotel with easy access to the autoroute and a picture we saw of the hotel looked good. We were not prepared for just how close to the main road the hotel was but as our room was at the back of the hotel we did not notice any road noise. Overall the hotel needed some TLC... more

Admittedly arriving on a Sunday night in the pouring rain isn't the best start but were shown to a room that had not been cleaned so were moved without an apology. Agree with the last reviewer about the food and overpriced breakfast. The hotel could be lovely but needs a good clean up and some smiling staff more

The Ermitage de Courton looks good in photographs but the reality is a rather tired property in need of a good tidy. First impressions were not helped by the presence of a large kitchen appliance, placed near the entrance, awaiting collection. Room was quaint but the bathroom was an addition to the sitting area and not well executed. First major... more

Spent 3 nights there in March. Wonderful all-around service. Superb gourmet restaurant run by a young talented chef. Limited choices but everything fresh and perfectly presented. Brought local wines from "vignerons" to dinner on all 3 nights and no corkage fee. Rooms are very large by French standards and actually suites. Very efficient staff. Restaurant/hotel manager very helpful. Great value... more

We stayed at the Ermitage for two nights while touring Bourgogne. The hotel is conveniently located by the highway leading to Aloxe-Corton etc. The building is old and charming and the staff are relaxed and friendly. The rooms are BIG! Even the double room where we stayed would be called a suite elsewhere. There were however a few disappointing niggles... more

Located a couple of km out of town (Beaune) in the vineyards with plenty of parking space and a pleasant garden, this small luxury hotel is well worth a detour. Apart from the fine rooms and friendly staff, the restaurant offers a superb menu of classical French cuisine. The wine list, too, is very varied, with many of the best... more
