Though a bit out of the way, The Haven was relaxing and welcoming. The road in was closed because of flooding, but the trip in was picturesque. Ian offered tea upon arrival and the breakfast was awesome. The views are spectacular and the room was large. Truly a haven....

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights at The Haven in mid July 2012. We were keen to see a lot of the sights in Northumberland and wanted to stay somewhere reasonably central. We chose Rothbury, which turned out to be as central as you can get in Northumberland. It is a lovely, small town that sits on the... More

Lovely peaceful B&B. Big spacious rooms. Would like to thank Roz & Ian for being so hospitable and going above and beyond. The breakfast was fantastic - a real English cooked breakfast, even the eggs were fresh from the hens in the back garden! I even had the chance to try Black Rory, a whisky from Northumberland, which was brilliant.... More

Had a superb long weekend. Asking for a double and a single room we were given the single next door to the lovely suite which has a great sitting room with fantastic views across the valley. Huge room, lovely bathroom, brilliant breakfasts (with tons of choice) and so nice to be given homemade chocolates as well as biscuits.

The bathroom was spotless and included very nice amenities. The breakfast was excellent with many choices in a nice setting. There was an outside seating area for eating or... More

We had read the reviews but this was even better than we expected. Lovely airy rooms, tasteful decor and lots of quaint features. It had that real old England feel: sliding sash windows, beautiful gardens, the village clock chiming the hour. The lounge was a virtual treasure trove of information as were the hosts. As mentioned in other reviews the... More

It's also very central for seeing anywhere in Northumberland with it's wonderful roads and hardly any traffic. Thanks... More

Stayed at The Haven while on a walking holiday with a friend. We had a spacious and very attractive twin bedded room with excellent views over Rothbury and the hills beyond. Although close to the centre of the village it is quietly and pleasantly situated. The front garden is a nice spor to relax and admire the views. Excellent breakfasts... More

The B&B is a family run business and feels very welcoming and relaxed. Roz the owner is a great host and very easy to get on with - she gave us lots of 'insider tips' about tourist attractions in the areas and was very helpful. The room was very well kept and had an amazing view of the village and... More
