Just returned from a three day pre-paid stay at this hotel. The location is stunning and the Eastern European staff were very helpful, both breakfast and evening meals were acceptable however the rest of the experience was far from pleasurable. The buildings are run-down and not just in need of decorating but need some major renovating. The windows are dirty... More

This was the third time that my husband and I have visited this hotel. This time we stayed in one of the apartments "Ness" just across the road from the main hotel. Accommodation - this was clean and warm however it is quite dated and definately needs refurbishment. The bathrooms in particular need some attention as the electric showrs don't... More

This hotel is misrepresented by the owners the web site is nothing like the Hotel.. I stayed in the coach house ground floor for only one night even after having booked and paid for a week. Filthy floors and surfaces and blood stained sheets, a mattress that was best burnt, a broken and long unrepaired extractor in the bathroom aided... More

Stayed on a deal, the hotel location on the bank of the loch is perfect, however the hotel itself leaves much to be desired, On arrival first impression of the exterior is a run down hotel in need of a good revamp and clean up, on the positive side there is a nice patio area with stunning views across the... POSITIVES: The "European" staff are fantastic and deserve a medal for working in such an environment...!! Always smiling and will do anything they can to please...!! This Hotel is just waiting to become a T.V sitcom (why hasn't anybody thought of it before) FOOD: Wholly acceptable, nothing wrong there. NEGATIVES: Accommodation... Don't assume you'll have hot water in your rooms.... More

So many varying reviews of this place and in their way they all reflect the combination of experience and expectation. Start with the price - you couldn't get a room in a youth hostel at this price in most of the country. Next the location - sublimely quiet, magnificent loch and mountain views, convenient to Oban and Inverary (if you... More

Like most of the reviewers here, out trip started at a Show after my wife bought what looked and sounded like a deal too good to be true, £99 for 3 Nights. A bargain....? Ho Ho Ho! We stopped in the Hotel proper, in an "end of the row" room. The general feel to us was of a hotel that... More

Discovered this hotel at a Craft Fair with a cheap deal of £100 for 3 days bed and breakfast per person. Good value and more than lived up to its promise in location, view and breakfast. But really they must sort out the water which is undrinkable and so we spent 3 days without a bath or shower or using... More
