well where do i start, the title sums the whole holiday up. There is 1 x spar shop 1 x tobacconist, 1 x pharmacy. that is it, Rooms are basic air conditioning could be upgraded. we upgraded our room for a harbour view, 35 euro per person which is well worth the money. watching the cruise liners come in, was... more

We chose this hotel because it is listed in the SAGA brochure and we thought the standard would be good. We did not travel with SAGA. It is only 15 minutes from the airport and nearing the hotel we were a bit scared by the poor location which I would think resembes Bazra, although I have never been to Iraq!.... more

We stayed at the Barcelo Hamilton in Minorca for one week at the end of May/early June and except for one day of heavy rain had good weather. This was an all inclusive holiday and the first time we had taken such a package. It proved good value and enjoyable. I would certainly consider it again. The hotel was generally... more

This was our 3rd stay at this Hotel. Spectacular views and lovely short walk into Calas Fonts - a vey picturesque harbour with a good choice of quality restaurants and spanish bars. Small but pretty and well maintained pool area. Reception staff very friendly. Bar staff good but stressed - could do with some more help. Only had breakfast -... more

The hotel is a 15 minute drive from the airport & is somewhat dated, but comfortable. We had a choice of rooms, either looking out into the small outdoor pool area or onto the more interesting inlet with its shipping. Our standard 3/3+ star room was acceptable & clean. The restaurant served buffet meals only. These were okay, a good... more

The hotel is a typical modern(ish) hotel block. It's definitely not pretty from the outside, being basically a concrete block. However, it's not too tall (4 stories??) so it doesn't feel as though it's intruding into the landscape too much. The decor inside the hotel was as expected for the cost - ie fine, clean and well maintained, but not... more

We booked our holiday through Direct Holidays, but now Thomas Cook own them. We stayed at this hotel From the 5th September to the 12th of September 2008. We arrived 5 hours late because of problems with the plane. When we were checking in at the hotel we were told our room was only for 2 people and not for... more

Hi everyone My partner and myself have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel. The sea view we wanted was charged at 8 euros per day, so we overlooked the pool, which was ok. The room was adequate, however the air conditioning was poor to say the least, and on the last night when it was extremly hot, seemed... more

However,... more

We have just returned from a fortnights holiday at Barcelo Hamilton. I can safely say that not only will we not be returning to this hotel but it has put us off from visiting Menorca ever again. Arrival Tried to check in to this hotel in between the receptionist ignoring us and/or speaking with other guests, even though we were... more
