We booked an extra night on our holiday as we wanted to have a day in the Teide national park. I found this hotel online and was really impressed by the photos and the price. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. This hotel is a hidden gem, and if you are looking for somewhere to... More

Beautiful hotel in an amazing setting, the drive up the mountain road not is for the faint hearted! I went with a friend for a long weekend, would advise hire car as it is a long way up from town or beach. It is beautiful tho, the staff are very helpful and friendly and our room was very quaint and... More

The hotel is in a very traditional old style, with lovely features. We liked the old touches and this was what we were expecting the views were nice from the grounds and we saw a beautiful sunset. The hotel is tucked away and isn't the easiest to find so do make sure you have good directions. It was quiet and... More

A wonderful, peaceful and traditional Canarian Hotel. It has a tranquil setting high up in the hills overlooking South Tenerife. The staff were most helpful, and the Spa and indoor pool added to the wonderful experience. We eat at the hotel and the food was very good. The Hotel is away from the main road, so you need to be observant... More

After reading some of the reviews on this hotel we had to tell of our experience. We had a thoroughly great week at the El Nogal on halfboard basis. The food in the evening was excellent with a good choice. It is a rural hotel with wonderful views and great architecture. Expect heavy furniture and old beams. The spa and... More

Overall,we enjoyed our stay at El Nogal. A vehicle is a must unless all you want to do is walking or cycling. Not well sign posted ( we went straight past arriving in the dark) and side roads can be steep. Hotel building is full of character so don't expect stainless steel & glass.Entrance lobby has a wonderful high ceiling... More

We have just recently returned from a week's stay in January and cannot rate the establishment highly enough. We found the hotel to be a very unexpected delight. Upon arriving in Tenerife we weren't too sure of the location as we ventured further and further up the hills into a very foggy and cold area, however the hotel (we had... More

Wanted to have a drink but the staff was involved in some kind of arguing and didnt notice me. No drink. Breakfast was ok but only one staff and she was to... More

Booked in for first room (we upgraded!) stank of wood preservative and chemicals with no view. The upgraded room was huge with a fantastic shower but way too dark for reading in bed. Wi fi is only available in lobby and is inconsistent. The restaurant is overpriced with a waitress who was surly and really unpleasant for our whole stay.... More

Arrived by foot and were told hotel had jacuzzi & sauna, so booked in for 1 night. In morning went down with towels and neither were working. Felt cheated and very disappointed as not had a sauna for a few years. Otherwise large room, nice location and breakfast ok. Wish they had been honest about sauna. 80€ a night for... More
