I stayed her for two nights for business. After the summer season the hotel and town are almost empty. The hotel is nice but nothing special. The staff is friendly but they hardly speaks English. The hotelroom was too warm, 25 degrees C. Great breakfast buffet.

This hotel should not be listed as a parador. It is an older poorly thought-out hotel with very long corridors and only one elevator. It reminds me of the 30's and 40's hotels which have long since been torn down and replaced by something more modern. The grounds are very pleasant; the hotel is located directly on a very dirty,... Old hotel in a do nothing town whose description is not quite the truth. The window and door leading to the balcony must have been washed 10 years ago...not lately. The garden is very nice, but the beach is awful and dirty. Go somewhere else

Nice hotel, but overpriced! Not really a special place, as we expected from Parador. Building very casual. Nice swimming pool. Nice room, but a little bit noisy. Breakfast not very trilling, for coffee and tea you had to ask waitress. We have had better buffets for this price.

The design of the parador is not like most of the other 'modern' designs, flat, low lying and blue in colour. Our room was spacious and clean with an good sized balcony. The garden and pool areas were excellent and you cab definitely relax here. The breakfast were very good. The local restaurants were good, especially if you stick to... More

Personally this could have received a 5 star review as during our trip it provided a perfect restbite from a hot inland tour. The perfect cooler temperature, that we enjoyed in the large gardens which afforded sea views from the available sun-loungers, may not always be the case. It is not the classic, formal Parador as shown by the restaurant... More

This is a splendid hotel very close to the beach with beautifully maintained public areas and gardens. There is a very nice pool staffed at all times by a lifeguard. We were very impressed when we arrived at check in to find that reception had all our documents pre-printed ready for signature so the check in process was very quick... More

We have stayed overnight here twice before and yes, the hotel needs a facelift in some areas. But these are government run hotels and Spain is still in the depths of recession! This is a seaside hotel set in large, lovely gardens with ample parking. In this area of Spain pools do not open until 1 June and close mid... More

Benicarló is not much to look at, and this Parador follows suit. The rooms are tidy and clean, and the staff are friendly. However on the whole the hotel is tired and needs updating. Would recommend as a short stop over place only.

I appreciate that this is not one of the flagship hotels for the Parador chain. It reminded me of the Parador Malaga Golf, though that was a better atmosphere. The room was comfortable, though as others have said the layout of the hotel means a long walk reception to room. No offer to help with luggage. There is a large... More
