Our room was very comfortable though not cheap. Unfortunately the day we stayed was a bit miserable and we weren't able to use the terraces which did however look nice. It's a very private location with a lot of parking. The tunnel is about an hour's drive and it is a good place to break your journey.

and, compared to other Relais et Chateaux, almost wallet-friendly too. The interior is anything but traditional and may not be to everyone's taste, but the room was well-appointed, the bed comfortable, and whilst breakfast is extra, we found one between us ample (but that said we do not have big appetites). Sadly the restaurant was closed for August but the... More

Our second visit. Perfect for the Tunnel and relaxing location with great food. This time we ate in the Bistro. First time the gastronomic restaurant. Both are great. Bistro served "fixed" four course menu at 32€. Great value perfect taste and quality. We have stayed in the rooms 5 and 6, both at front with nice view over gardens. Would... More

We recently used this Hotel as a handy stop off prior to motoring on into Europe, it was easy to find and we were pleasantly surprised to find how quiet and relaxing the atmosphere was . The welcome at check in was good and the room was a good size, well decorated and pleasant views over the gardens. We enjoyed... More

After a 4 hours travelling from Wales at 50 minutes into France Busnes is an ideal area to stop and relax before your European travel. The Chateau is in a quiet area with excellent facilities and a very welcoming staff. The Room was very comfortable and with a choice of 2 Restaurants on site there should be no difficulty in... It's all about the food which was cooked to perfection, the cheese and sweet cart that comes out are the highlights of the meal, and also very nice wine! We stayed one night, our room was comfortable, quiet and the hotel is relaxed. Breakfast was good, but my only critism would be the speed of service at breakfast, I don't... More

We booked in for a one night stay chiefly so we could eat at the famous restaurant. The food was outstanding. Wonderful principle course with delightful amuses bouches and a stupendous sweet trolley at the end which sadly we had no space left to do justice too. A very good wine selection . Rooms on the other hand were garish... More

Handy to autoroute but quiet country location. Comfortable and quiet room spotlessly clean and warm despite the weather. Also very warm welcome on arrival despite being a bit early and overlap with departure of several Christmas lunch groups. No problem, shown to room within minutes. We had a great meal in the main restaurant. Not a cheap night but in... More

We booked last minute when all relais chateux in Belgium were full. We drove here for Marc Meurin's two star restaurant and were not disappointed the two nights we dined there - superb. The bistro was less so. The hotel itself was quirky , strangely renovated, most historical elements stripped away, except in the restaurant. The gentleman who guided us... More

Budget travellers look away now! This is a very well appointed modern hotel lurking inside an eighteenth century chateau nestling in a peaceful park. There is a good everyday restaurant (le jardin d'Alice) serving local specialities, but the jewel in the crown is the Michelin starred restaurant with fabulous food, although it is very expensive and not to everyone's taste....
