We spent just one night here. The grounds are immaculate and so beautiful – right on the banks of the Sabie River. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We arrived during load shedding. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The trout is delicious as is the breakfast and the menu has a wide variety of choices. Thank you... More

The area around Sabie is beautiful and the accommodation provided at Floreat is comfortable and reasonable for the price. It is clean and reasonable wheelchair facilities. It does look a little under-decorated in parts however the self catering chalets are modern and tidy. The buffet breakfast and dinner is also very good, although we were not impressed with the evening... More

It is with considerable trepidation after reading the negative reviews, that we booked at this resort. Pleasant surprised that the reviews did not to justice. From the outset we were treated, with care and consideration by all staff. Positives: The room (honeymoon suite) was clean and well - appointed as well as spacious and had excellent views. Breakfast was more... More

Morning has broken over a misty Sabie Valley - The Floreat provided warm hospitality to match the ambience of Sabie - Great Service, Great Staff. Cool misty mornings in the Sabie Valley are the perfect prelude to a baking African summer's day.

We had high hopes for the Floreat in Sabie. Firstly, the accommodation is okay, it would be suitable for a family staying together. There are multiple beds in our cottage and there is kitchen space to cook. Most importantly, the reception staff is friendly and helpful. Beyond that things fall apart. First, our rooms were dirty, like in a poorly... More

The location of the hotel is in the hillside town of Sabie in good reach of many beauty spots and of course Kruger National Park. From the initial booking in I was a little concerned as the reception areas garden was full of weeds and the large pots holding shrubs had tab ends in them. Our room smelled of damp... More

We enjoyed the quite and beautiful riverside setting of this lodge and our suite was spacious, clean and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet was nothing to write home about and the restaurant atmosphere was stiff and outdated. The bar-lounge area was nicely decorated and furnished but the separate bar and pool room was a bit tacky. Service was good but impersonal... More

Sabie is a lovely little hill town that you come upon after the scenic drive down the Longtom Pass. Unfortunately despite a riverside location the property itself is poorly designed with no sitouts and poorly furnished rooms. The food too is way below average, but the staff is surprisingly helpful, friendly and resourceful. I would not select to stay here... More

I have known this lodge for the last 25 years and I must confess, my stay on 16 April 2014 was certainly the worst experience for me during all the years. The lodge is in desperate need of refurbishment! The rooms have been the same for 25 years! We needed accommodation as the weather turned on us ( we were... More

We stayed for three nights this month. The rates for the old rooms are not justifiable. Our double bed was actually two twin beds pushed together with one of the mattresses in the need of being replaced urgently. Staff is friendly but there is a strange vibe to the whole place. Breakfast and dinner (buffets) are of low quality. Overall... More
