Timamoon was one of our dream destinations and I'm so happy that we were in the fortunate position to visit Timamoon. The place is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, the privacy and the service excellent. Perfect for a couple that want to spend some quality time together. I also highly recommend that you do the private dining at least once while you're... More

Second time around and even better than the first. This place is just amazing, it is secluded, romantic, private and very personal! What a great place to spend a couple of days in Mpumalanga. It is close to Sabie and Hazyview and all the sights of the escarpment like god's window, Pilgrims Rest and Graskop. The rooms (chalets) are rustic... More

My husband and I stayed in the Moon River lodge at Timamoon. The winding dirt road led us to a beautiful bridge in the middle of the forest that crossed the Sabie River. The scene looked like the something taken straight from the pages of a fairytale and began the magical experience of our stay at Timamoon. Once arrived, we... More

When it comes to getting away from it all, Timamoon is really the really the real deal. The dirt road that winds through the forested gorge formed by the Sabie River's descent down the escarpment had me enchanted already. We were there for a writing weekend, but the views, the serenity, the beautiful accommodation and the fantastic food made certain... More

Hullo Writers Thanks for such a generous review. I hope you did get some work done, but you know what they say about Jack been a dull boy!!! I will certainly tell Patrick, our barman, how much you enjoyed his Mojitos. We enjoyed your stay with us and do hope you will plan to visit again but maybe with your... More

The sand road to get to Timamoon is an adventure. It makes for a really interesting drive. I've read reviews where people complain, I thought it was great! Then over the bridge to get in to the lodge, another rush! From being greeted by Skye and helped with our bags to Amber Moon by Patrick, we realised we were in... More

Hi Thanks for your review and your comment about the road as it is actually a feature of Timamoon. The small winding road covered with a beautiful tree canopy is like driving through a little rain forest. There are also the most cutest little Rooi Duicker that are actually on the endangered list and they seem to be thriving in... More

Generally it's a very exquisite lodge, surrounding is beautiful and staff is very nice. However we found that the price we paid for is much higher for what you get. 1. Beds are old and not comfortable . 2. The beddings are satin which was not our favorite. But probably that's the style. 3. We were there during winter and... More

Large log fireplaces, large antique four poster beds with satin linen, big double baths to share, lots of candles, endless views of... More
