Thank you Debbie for a wonderful stay. We used Gunyatoo as a base for 3 days and traveled to God's Window and Kaapsehoop. We stayed in the log cabin and enjoyed the log fires, the dogs, the grounds. It was comfortable and we had a very peaceful and pleasant time.

We were looking for somewhere to catch trout, do some walks + enjoy peace + quiet. Gunyatoo was a short scenic drive on tar from Nelspruit with a rough bit of dirt road on the last section. We took it slow and enjoyed the views into the surrounding forestry plantations. There was very little indigenous bush to see- as it's... More

The service was excellent - Bob & Debbie Connolly went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The food was great and plenty of it. Our room was perfect - comfortable and warm. We don't fish but the trout dam is an enjoyable walk. The Lodge is in the middle of the forest, (although only a short drive... More

I would suggest that the hostess invests in some bigger towels. The towels are really too small, even for kids. Also, the communal lounge with dstv is really not nice. Bar also not well stocked. Her food was very good, though and really value for money.

No security. House was lovely, spacious, cosy. Beds, comfortable, warm bedding. Lovely farm in the woods. Nice view from balcony. Little dams very pretty, couldn't find fish tho. Quite far from most tourist attractions.

We loved our visit to Gunyatoo - Debbie and Bob made us feel extremely welcome. The setting is beautiful and the fishing sublime. We will definitely be back and this time we'll bring other people with us!

Service is excellent, rooms and facilities are spacious, well kept, neat and tidy. Roads to the lodge have potholes, so drive carefully. The full-board option in the lodge is excellent! Spoil yourself

Very friendly and helpful. I only arrived at 10pm and they still made me feel welcome. Its best you have a bakkie/4x4 though, as it will be challenging driving there with a car. fantastic and highly recommended. Thanks gunyatoo

We enjoyed our stay alot, just would have liked to have been able to make use of entertainment area that is temp not open to guests, made rainy days really hard with the kids!! Maids came to service fisherman's cottage every day, wich was convenient but sometimes they would only arrive after 13H00, which was a little frustrating. Maids also... More

Pay close attention to the instructions. The mile markers are there but I seem to recall there's more than one set. Also, the owners advise me that their location has been put in the wrong spot on Google Earth by some well-meaning individual so - pay attention to the instructions. It's down a steep logging track but we had no... More
