Quite a basic hotel but did the job!!! Clean and good breafast!!! Helpful staff!! A bit away from the waterfront but take a taxi - they are cheap as chips! “Good hotel -- recently refurbished”

Great value for money. The hotel is undergoing renovations and the new rooms are spacious and clean. The pool was wonderful after a hot day (but no towels so you have to take a room towel). The free buffet breakfasts were excellent -- lots of choice.

More than 30 years ago, we stayed at this property when it was the Hotel Tropical, part of a chain owned and operated by the extinct VARIG Brazilian airlines. It was soon after its innauguration in 1974 and many things did not function, including the essential air conditioning. We slept in hammocks on the terrace and left the next day.... More
