We had a great time here. We stayed in the executive suite on the island and it was both unique and fabulous. Terrific location, laid back but very helpful staff, amazing seafood it was perfect. We spent a very relaxing time. The food really was the unexpected highlight of the stay.If we were ever in back Ghana we would certainly... More

beautiful location, v friendly staff, great restaurant (although agree with another reviewer that a "light bites" or snack menu would be a good addition, lovely bay. We stayed in Ocean view island executive room and it was perfect. Although expensive, it is actually excellent value for this class of hotel compared to what you might pay in more "touristy" locations... More

I have to say that this was one of the only places I have ever stayed that looks better in reality than on the website. The location is truly stunning. We stayed in one of the bay-view rooms and it was very comfortable but we spent most of our time outside. The place seems well managed and the staff were... More

Wow. This is a top-notch hotel with all the amenities. Great staff, delicious food, wonderful location, huge rooms. If you can afford it, go for it. The staff spent 4 hours one morning trying to get all the seaweed cleaned up from the beach AND the ocean (using a net to collect a huge patch of it right off the... More

It took us just 4 hours and fifteen minutes from Accra! We were in the middle of a very green African Rain Forest, the ocean looks so beautiful from a private Bay ! A good feeling of security, privacy, harmony, … Just want to go more often and discover the new design chalets and enjoy again the Chef's great cuisine... More

Nice and friendly, down to earth style hotel close to Axim. Super bad road at the moment (is under construction) and signs with directions could be better. Nice simple rooms with ok beds. Clean and spacious. Best is if you can get the private island house! Beautiful beach and great swimming in the safe bay (not the normal undercurrent). Interesting... More

The lodge is a good bargain for the price.clearly to have the owner/manager in situ makes all the diference,as the place is properly run, and problems are fixed within hours. Friendly staff ,decent meals, very good rooms in the island, may be the only problem is that the place is over occupied in week- ends, another measure of its success. For... More

We drove here from Abidjan for a long weekend. The private beach is very picturesque, though the water in the cove was not the cleanest when we were there. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is good, and service is friendly though slow. The entrance to our room suite was right next to a family's entrance, and they spent time... More

We traveled to the Lou Moon Lodge in January of 2014 and found it to be one of the best vacations we have taken as a family. It is definitely recommended to travel by air from Accra to Takoradi - we used Antrak air - otherwise you will spend b/w 5 and 9 hours driving and the cost of the... More

A great experience, the staff are very friendly, the rooms were very clean and the food was amazing as it is cooked freshly on a daily basis. There are activities such as archery that can keep you going through the day. I would definatly recommend
