We have visited the Alsace and this property for 30 years. it never fails in it's charm in this tiny medieval village. This is the quintessential family property originally managed by the parents of the daughters who now manage it. It is a perfectly maintained medieval property bordering the vineyards of the town's wonderful location. The rooms are incredibly quiet... More

What a great find! Created out of what started life as an 11th Century abbey, L'Abbaye d'Alspach is a family owned, warm, friendly, and peaceful hotel, full of character and charm. Our well appointed en suite bedroom with aircon, central heating and very comfortable bed was a delight to stay in. The breakfast room was beautifully decorated, and the food... More

A lovely little hotel in a village where time seems to have stopped to the late middle ages. Clearly each room is different. We had the last remaining (and most expensive :-) room which was a lovely little suite on two levels. Pretty much as romantic as it gets :-) We really enjoyed it for our single-night stop close to... Extremely quiet hotel located in a fairy-tale village/area. Room was clean and spacious. Modern bathroom (excellent shower). Comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly/helpful. Convenient parking. You'll find more restaurants in Keysersberg (5 min drive). Will definitely return!!

The hotel is lovely located in the old village of Kientzheim surrounded by vineyards. The hotel is part of a former abbey. The rooms are lovely and individually decorated. The breakfast is average. The hotel itself has no restaurant, so that you have to go to one of the nice restaurants nearby.

This hotel has a variety of rooms. We chose a superior room and were not disappointed. It was large, well appointed with a very comfortable bed, modern television and good bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast buffet was fine. Receptionist looked after us well on our arrival. As we left in the morning for the first day of a hiking... More

Spent one night here as part of our walking-holidays. Because it was a monday, there was no dinner. But they recommended a nice restaurant in the village (it was the only one open, so we were lucky). Room was good and clean, but nothing special. Breakfast was okay. Reception was friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, peaceful stay in a lovely location. A must if you like Alsace wine as it's on the local wine trail. We were staying there for a wedding and the hotel was most accomodating. Local towns that you have to see include Kaysersburg, Turckheim and Eguisheim. Highly recommended.

We saw this hotel and decided to stay almost straight away. They had a special offer on 16% off the room prices. So we treated ourselves to a superior room (room 14). Lovely views from the room. Room had bath and shower, fridge, safe and a good sized bed. Bed was firm but not too uncomfortable. The stairs up to... More

This is an interesting hotel located on the main road in the little village of Kientzheim, about a mile from Kaysersberg. The hotel is situated in an 11th-century convent, which makes for a quirky layout and gives it a medieval atmosphere. We were given a room at ground level very near the large parking lot in the rear of the... More
