We have been coming to this hotel for over 20 years, first when it was run by Mr. & Mrs. Schwartz and now by their daughter. It is always a pleasure to return and see that standards have certainly not slipped one iota! If you are looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay in Alsace then look no further....There... This place was a life saver! We were on a biking tour during a big heat wave and needed an air conditioned hotel. This one not only had great AC but also had amazing history and completely updated rooms. Our room was so cute with a little balcony overlooking the vineyards and old rooflines. The front desk staff was also... More

We stayed 5 nights in room #2 with a balcony situated at the backside of the hotel. It is very silent, only the birds sing their songs. Breakfast is plenty, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the small garden offers a good opportunity to relax and read a book. The location is ideal... More

We stayed here for one night on our way to the UK and the hotel was an excellent pit stop. The village and hotel are really pretty and authentic. Rooms are very spacious and traditional. Very welcome and warm feeling about the hotel. We were booked for dinner just next door so it was a perfect stay all in all.... More

We have stayed there for 2 nights with very large groep of people. It was suprisingly well perserved old complex. Staff was friendly. Rooms are very spacious, covers every basic need. Parking lot is big and also in de complex. Flowers everywhere, such a joy just to look at it. I find it a little overprized. Breakfast is more than... More

As part of our tour in Kaysersberg valley, it was arranged for us to stay in this hotel for one night. Kientzheim was very quiet - easy to understand as the outdoor temperature reached 37 degrees. The hotel is old at with lots of atmosphere. We have been here once before - and this time we stayed in room 16... More

We stayed here for one night on our way home from Austria. The village and hotel are sooo pretty! Rooms are spacious and quirky. Welcome was warm. Breakfast excellent. Only downside is that you must be organised and book into a restaurant for dinner, we were lucky but other people had to go outside the village for dinner.

We had originallly been booked by our tour guide to stay in a large souless hotel in a nearby town- we chose to stay at the abbey after reading trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. Beautifully located, large airy rooms with plenty of light. After we checked in, we went across the road to a cellar door and bought... More

We spent a night in this quaint, quiet hotel in beautiful Kientzheim, adjacent to the very interesting town of Colmar. Our room wasn't spectacularly appointed but was comfortable, with a nice but non-private terrace overlooking Alsace vines. The breakfast was copious and good. We dined at Cote Vigne, a three-minute walk from the hotel. We can highly recommend a stay... More

Cosy hotel located in the quaint little village of Kientzheim, very beautiful. Friendly staff, good sized rooms and clean. Breakfast buffet was fine. Good value for money, village has a couple of restaurants and a number of wine tasting outlets all walking distance from the hotel, however the nearest supermarket and shops are a short drive.
