Stayed for just one night. In busy village (La Malene), public parking almost impossible in peak season - but hotel has its own car park, which is not clearly identified on the web site. Room and facilities as expected in a converted Chatteau, smallish but clean and well appointed. Meal and other drink / eating facilities were first rate. Lovely... More

Located in the spectacular Gorges du Tarn. We stayed one night en route from Avignon to Millau and Conques. Nice old hotel. Welcoming staff. Do not know if English is spoken, but they were understanding and forgiving of our very rusty French! Room was nice - a little retro, but with modern bath and a lovely view out over the... More

What a delight. Third night stopover on our 2000 mile motorcycle trip. Stunning scenery in this area and a hotel which appeared to be hewn into the rocks of the gorge. Our room was quite small and up two flights of the spiral staircase in the tower, but was very clean and well appointed. The real gem of this hotel... More

Stayed in a shabby chic room in the tower, like the fairy tale. Loved it, intriguing atmosphere, lots of character, romantic. Wonderful food and delightful setting. Would like to revisit this beautiful area and canoe gown the gorge again too. We had to drive from Calais to get there but the journey through France was magnificent.

We had a delightful dinner of classical French cuisine using fresh and good quality regional produce, perfectly cooked(fresh trout, lamb sweetbreads, homemade maize bread, wonderful cheese choice). The staff was warm and friendly.

Better than "average," but less than "very good." How about just "good?" We liked a lot about it. It's a cool old castle in a great location. Management and staff are kind of old school, in a good way. You know you are in France. The first room they showed us with a queen bed was very small; just enough... More

I haven't stayed at Le Manoir but have eaten there every summer since 1998. My friends and I camp at La Malene, usually for three nights, during our annual walking oddessy through France. We go to different places each year but always seem to find our way to La Manoir, drawn by its ambience and terrific food and the beauty... More

This hotel is unusual - a converted chateau so the rooms are a little dated although clean, well equipped and perfectly OK - some small and some large (we travelled with another couple). The position in the Tarn Gorge is superb - both in terms of the immediate surroundings (great walking and great drives straight from the hotel) and the... More

This is an old castle in the centre of La Malene. Quite old internally but very clean and well presented. Great restaurant. Ate outside on terrace. Room not very spacious but reasonable for the price. Located by the bridge at La Malene and handy for all activities. Try the canoeing down the river. Tarn Gorge is spectacular.

In the heart of the Gorges du Tarn, perfectly located in a village, the old "manoir" has some charm. The rooms are more dated than charming though. The view is fabulous, the restaurant in the garden charming, the staff nice, the food almost good. A nice stopover in the region.
