We stayed in the Gabrielle d'Estrées room for two nights at the start of December. The staff were attentive, courteous and professional right from the start, and this continued throughout our stay. The small chateau is very charming from the outside, set in a lovely park, and beautifully decorated inside. The dining room was particularly pleasant, with the big open... More

We stayed in the Jeanne d'Arc room for one night in Oct 2012. The room was lovely and spacious, with a seating area, comfortable bed, and luxury bathroom in a turret. The website pictures are a true representation of this hotel. The bathroom had a light-up jacuzzi bath and mirrored ceiling, so felt very decadent. We had the VIP package,... More

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was an excellent experience. The chateau looks like a fairy tale castle, the rooms are luxurious, the food excellent and the staff very attentive. We hope to stay there again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a special treat.

Our family had the best time satying at Chateau de Brou during our trip through France. The grounds are lovely, the chateau is marvelous, old and well preserved. We stayed in the Junior suite since it was the best choice for our family of five. It was huge with a beautiful canopy bed renaissence style, two circled balconies with garden... More

We stayed two nights here in early Sept 2012. The staff was very welcoming and spoke English. We had a room in the chateau the first night (the Balzac Room) which had a queen bed and shower. There was an additional room up some steep stairs with two sofas but we didn't use it. The second night we moved to... More

We've used this chateau en route to the S of France several times now and really love it. Approached from a rather uninspiring light industrial estate, once the gates swing open you enter a very calm and beautiful forest with the restored chateau at the end of a long gravel drive. We stayed in the Richelieu suite, a good choice... More

I can't say much more than that. Beautiful room, wonderful service, lovely breakfast. Everything was just perfect. We only booked here because everything in Chinon was booked out, but we were so glad it worked out that way. We couldn't have been happier.

After 7 hours driving on a hot sunny day the Chateau was a wonderful reward. The Chateau itself is elegant, beautifully restored and lovingly decorated. The welcome was warm and we immediately had a glass of wine out on the lawn to unwind. The room was beautiful and after a great dinner in the restaurant we had a great night's... More

Our family of 4 (two teenagers) stayed here for two nights. It is a beautiful little Chateau and the approach to it is magical. We had a suite with a separate room for the kids, and it was all excellent. We left wondering why it's a 3-star ... It feels much more like a 4-star. A pool would have made... More

The chateau is very beautiful and the room was comfortable. The stay was memorable for its unusual setting staying in the tower of a castle. We stayed on a cycling package so cannot comment directly on value but the breakfast was excellent. The evening meal was quite pricey, and will suit you if you like your food to look and... More
