This manor house has been in the same family for 12 generations and is one of the most pleasant places we have stayed in. We were made very welcome by Laurent and his wife, had a delightful room overlooking the grounds and enjoyed a delicious meal served by Laurent and cooked by his wife. Pre-dinner drinks for all guests were... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Booked late and only the standard rooms were available. These were still very comfortable but therefore cannot comment on the 4 poster rooms. Meals are cooked by Laurent's wife. It is a set menu and you do not know what is on the menu until the evening. Depending how many guests are eating you all may... More

Delightful hosts who were caring, attentive, efficient and with a great sense of humour. Bags of character in every room, relaxing atmosphere and the outdoor pool very inviting. Our family ( late teens, twenty some things and two retired young at hearts !) were overjoyed when we arrived at the Manoir and our enthusiasm for the place never wavered (we... More

We only stayed for one night - wish it could have been longer. Everything from the Queen sized comfortable bed to the beautifully prepared, home- cooked dinner was perfect for us. The host spoke English while we tried out our French and he went out of his way to ensure that all was to our liking. His wife was charming... More

We spent 3 glorious nights at Ponsay and can highly recommend this lovely manoir. Unlike so many places which try hard to create a feeling of authenticity this is, without doubt, the real deal. Everything from the glorious bedroom (we had the red four-poster room) to the scrumptious dinners was top-notch. It was also located in rolling country-side but close... More

We spent three nights at this lovely family owned manor house. It is a delight. A beautiful building, fine small pool in a sun trap courtyard, excellent dining, and even a friendly dog who came on part of our walk. Friendly, welcoming and great value, with high standards.

We stayed here twice on our way to south of France and back and both times were greeted by very friendly Mr. Ponsay and his family who made sure that we had a nice stay. We had 3 dinners there which were very good. Out kids loved the pool, the dog, and the countryside walks. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

We stayed here in 2009 and again 26/10/10. We were the only visitors, that being due to the fact a daughter had been born the previous week, but as we had reserved our room some months earlier, the family honoured the booking, had it been for the previous weekend we, understandably, wouldnt have been so lucky. Everything was as good... More

Stayed here for one night in June - and absolutely loved it. The host was very friendly and welcoming, his wife very accommodating of our request for a vegetarian dinner (it was all delicious), the house is charming, and we went for a long countryside walk after breakfast with the family's dog. Would definitely go back.
