The best place to stay in Tours!!!! We arrived so late and they we're waiting for us, as we were the most important people in France, It's beautiful! And everyone at the Chateau are so nice, when I come back again I will stay here for sure. Tomorrow I will be waiting for the delicious dinner that I heard, everyone... More

This stay was one of the highlights of our few days in the Loire Valley. It is close to some beautiful castles and quaint villages to explore. The rooms are large and ornate, the breakfast very satisfactory and the Countess delightful and extremely helpful in finding restaurants and further accommodation. We enjoyed the Countess' sayings such as , nobody is... More

We stayed in the Da Vinci Room at Chateau de l'Aubriere or 3 nights. La Membrolle Sur Choisille is in a great location near Tours and many Loire Valley sights are very accessible from the chateau. La Comtesse Violaine is gracious and dynamic, and is a wonderful cook and hostess. Our 7 yo and 4 yo loved the go carts,... More

After a long day of travel by train from Germany and then a drive from Paris to Tours, we arrived at this beautiful Chateau and were promptly greeted in the driveway by the resident peacock! Before we could even get up the steps, our hostess was outside warmly welcoming us by name and extending her hospitality. We had booked a... More

We were greeted by the count when we arrived. He was most cordial. The chateau is situated close to Tours so we dined in the city that evening. The rooms were clean and most attractive (as they were when we visited in 2009). The countess hadn't aged a bit. The next evening the the countess made a superb dinner for... More

My husband & I visited the countess and her BEAUTIFUL Chateau for the SECOND time in May. Our stay was delightful! We enjoyed the beautiful chateau, the views, and warm staff. The countess was warm, friendly, made our stay one that we will remember for a lifetime! We tour France every other year and we look forward to visiting this... More

The first time we stayed at the chateau was in 2009, and we had such a great time that we decided to come back this year, with our friends. We were warmly received by the countess who is an exceptional host, friendly and warm. We enjoyed our beautiful rooms and the original decoration. The countess arranged for us a dinner... More

What at first looked like a quirky chateau hotel with an eccentric lady owner turned out to be a great stay with an excellent meal. We didn't have great weather which limited the time we could spend exploring the grounds but the view from our bedroom was fabulous. Not one to miss this and with good wine at 10 euro... More

We booked this chateau because we were visiting the area to visit the vineyards and wanted a treat along the way. The building is beautiful and the decor is in keeping with the building. I agree that some of the interior is slightly faded but it is in keeping with the charm and character of the place and its owner... More

We stayed here in july and we enjoyed the large garden and the heated outdoor swimmingpool. nice and quiet surrouding, birds singing. Very friendly hostess, this is a great spot to explore the loire chateaux. You are 15 mins from tours, 40 mins away from amboise(I suggest to take the D way route along the loire, very scenic and you... More
