Our third visit travelling south stopping at this exceptional Chateau. Stayed in a refurbished room in the main building with new bathroom. Excellent dinner and wine, try the chefs masterpiece pigeon pie. Substantial breakfast with choice of pastries, bread and juices. There is a refurbished swimming pool which we did not sample. Service is friendly with a special welcome from... More

We were originally booked in another hotel, which cancelled at last minute our reservation due to overbooking. So we arrived at this chateau, which looks very well kept with nice gardens and terrace, a brand new pool and a tennis court. Check in was a bit difficult because nobody was around (we arrived at 04,00pm) and the employee who helped... More

The castle is a regular meeting point for us and the wider family on the way south. This year's visit certainly didn't disappoint and marked a great start to our 2014 getaway. Pool, room, restaurant, wine list, service, temperature were all great. One slight niggle I have with French hotels is the quality of the breakfast - a slightly broader... More

Used this hotel as a stopover on the way to the south. If you book the 160 euro room they are to the side of the main hotel not in the main building. The room was ok but small and no better than rooms at hotels for half the price. The food and service are very average. As an example... More

We were enthusiastically welcomed by the owner, Pascal! Our room with a shared terrace, covered with artificial grass, was clean and comfortable with the added benefit of air conditioning. The pool was welcome and there was space to sit out of or in the sun. Dinner was good, but the market menu did not offer any choice. Breakfast was very... More

It's a beautiful Chateau, renovated with style, very nice staff, especially the owner who takes care personally of his guests. it has a beautiful park, the chateau is located near the saône, where you can take nice long walks. the menu has two excellent choices, we probably never had a more tender charolais meat. the selection of wines is very good,... Pascal could not have been more welcoming. He is passionate about his château and has renovated it to an excellent standard. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast. A dog friendly hotel with secure parking (the large Chateau gates are closed at night) and free wifi, in a perfect location. We shall come again on our frequent drives from Geneva to... More

We found this hotel (like so many other great ones) in an old copy of 'Small & Charming Hotels in France'. It was our stopover after a very long day in the (motorcycle) saddle coming down from Calais. The hotel is a real chateau - a truly beautiful building with turrets big staircases and stained glass. Ambience to go with... More

We have stayed at C. De Fleurville four times now. Our most recent visit involved 8 guests and 5 rooms - each of which were cool, well presented and comfortable. The highlight of our visits are Pascal's welcome and the fabulous food. I would rather not let too many people know about the place, as we have always managed to... More

We arrived at Fleurville midway on our trip to south of France. We walked in to reception, the owner looked us up and down grabbed the keys and walked outside, he said this way as he went, no help with bags, or even a smile. The garden room we were shown to had a musty smell. We had booked for... More
