This fine hotel is in a prefect location in the area. The food was, as always, excellent and the service was rustic and homely. The pool was at a nice temperature and the rooms were comfortable and well air conditioned. We have visited this hotel every year for the past few, and it had never failed to amaze me.

We were enthusiastically welcomed by the owner, Pascal! Our room with a shared terrace, covered with artificial grass, was clean and comfortable with the added benefit of air conditioning. The pool was welcome and there was space to sit out of or in the sun. Dinner was good, but the market menu did not offer any choice. Breakfast was very... More

It's a beautiful Chateau, renovated with style, very nice staff, especially the owner who takes care personally of his guests. it has a beautiful park, the chateau is located near the saône, where you can take nice long walks. the menu has two excellent choices, we probably never had a more tender charolais meat. the selection of wines is very good,... Pascal could not have been more welcoming. He is passionate about his château and has renovated it to an excellent standard. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast. A dog friendly hotel with secure parking (the large Chateau gates are closed at night) and free wifi, in a perfect location. We shall come again on our frequent drives from Geneva to... More

We found this hotel (like so many other great ones) in an old copy of 'Small & Charming Hotels in France'. It was our stopover after a very long day in the (motorcycle) saddle coming down from Calais. The hotel is a real chateau - a truly beautiful building with turrets big staircases and stained glass. Ambience to go with... More

We have stayed at C. De Fleurville four times now. Our most recent visit involved 8 guests and 5 rooms - each of which were cool, well presented and comfortable. The highlight of our visits are Pascal's welcome and the fabulous food. I would rather not let too many people know about the place, as we have always managed to... More

We arrived at Fleurville midway on our trip to south of France. We walked in to reception, the owner looked us up and down grabbed the keys and walked outside, he said this way as he went, no help with bags, or even a smile. The garden room we were shown to had a musty smell. We had booked for... More

We have travelled around France and Spain a fair bit and finding overnight stops is part of the adventure. The Chateau de Fleurville turned out to be a gem. We were warmly greeted by the owner and shown to a lovely garden room, and even though it was raining the garden and grounds were looking great. There is a lovely... More

We have been staying in Chateau de Fleurville, located next to Macon, on our way to the north Burgundy. This is an old castle from 17 th century, full of charm. There are only 15 rooms, making the place very cosy although with all facilities including a pool and a tennis ground. On top, the food ( and the wine)... More

A lovely chateau & grounds - inviting outdoor pool & sun loungers - tennis court - easy secure parking - outdoor terrace. The owner himself looks after you - waitering, serving drinks, manning the reception.........the only other visible staff was the chef who produced a stunning evening meal of the highest quality at a fair price. Peaceful terrace to have... More
