This Hotel is for some reason highly rated in many guide-books. This was our greatest disappointment in many years. And it is quite expensive. We stayed there April 4, 2014, in a deluxe room (what they call Grand Cru, after the wine). There is almost no insulation between floors!!! We went to bed at 11 PM, and were awaked by... More

Visited restaurant one night only and worthy of 1 michelin star. Wine bar fridge for pre dinner drinks showed 9degrees for the white section and yet the wine was warm and at least14degrees. I can only surmise they were trying to cool an overheating . Very unprofessional to serve warm white burgandy!

Recently stayed at Le Montrachet to break a journey between Southern France and the UK. While the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, the hotel didn't offer value for money at all. To our surprise, we were in the Annex across the square where the rooms and bathrooms felt dark and a little tired. There seems to be minimal sound... More

If you go to this part of France, its all about the wine. This place will not let you down as its got a great selection of local wines that is uniques. 6 different types of montrachet by the glass starting at USD 14; beat that! Nice interior as well. Super service!

I suppose I could go into great detail about our recent dinner at restaurant Le Montrachet, but it is sufficient to say that there was nothing good about this horrible evening. We found out the next day that the chef left 2 months before. This restaurant has a 1 Michelin star but does not deserve it. Poor, indifferent service by... More

We recently booked two nights at this hotel only to find ourselves in the annex across the street. We seemed to be the only ones----strange. Sort of like the Hilton at Versailles. Think you have booked in the hotel proper only to end up in the annex. Another strange custom was the lack of any cheque after dinner. The amount... More

It is a number of years since we last stayed here and there have been many improvements. The new restaurant and wine bar are lovely and the ambience, service and food are very good indeed. Our wine expert opined that it would have been good if there had been some older reds on the menu but overall the wine selection... More

there are 2 reasons to visit this hotel: a leisurely tour of the town of Puligny Montrachet and its close neighbor Mersault, and the dining room at Le montarchet. First of all one should realize that the towns are tiny and offer little in the way of compelling attractions. The allure is their incomparable charm and the ability to soak... More

Nice to be back here after 3 years. The food is as excellent as I remember it from last time, and the service just as professional (some might find it cold). The wine list is monumental, the mark-up acceptable (roughly 100% across the board). Our room was clean and comfortable, if distinctly overpriced at 130€ without breakfast. Two things marred... More

Delightful hotel located in the centre of a quiet village and a favourite overnight stop for seasoned travellers when driving between Northern and Southern France. The hotel combines modern standards with a contemporary design based upon its 19th century origins. Easy parking available either in front of the building or in a private car park that's locked each night. Meals... More
