We stayed here for one night on a tour of the Burgundy vineyards and it was a most pleasant experience. This end of the Cote D'Or is a bit prettier than the Cote de Nuits. The hotel appears to be newly renovated and is extremely good value for a 3-star, I presume that they might be upgraded soon! The reception... more

Overlooking the village green, this stylish hotel was an excellent place to end a Burgundy wine tour. Friendly and professional staff, and a marvellous restaurant which surely will receive its first Michelin star soon. Breakfast was outstanding. more

We enjoyed this hotel enormously and thought it very good value for money. The meal was one of the best we have had in France, and we have had some superb meals, but of course if one is tempted by the local wines, as we were, it isn’t cheap. The staff were very helpful and efficient. Our room was satisfactory... more

We stayed at Le Montrachet for 3 days of our Burgundy vacation. Comfortable room overlooking a quiet town square. Short walking distance to cafes, shops and boulangerie (just a few blocks). Beautiful dining room, although expensive for dinner. A wonderful daily breakfast buffet offered in same dining room was within our budget. Also a lovely wine bar and terrace onsite... more

Just returned from a great week at this marvellous hotel. This really is a gem in what is a rather wonderful setting. If you like wine and food this is the place (and region) to be. The hotel is excellent. The staff are friendly and have impecable manners. Attentive without being intrusive. The rooms are great, (the suites are nicely... more

We booked this at relatively short notice as somewhere to stay while we bought some wine. We found the whole experience most enjoyable particularly as it co-incided with the opening of the new restaurant. The menu was exceptionally good value for the quality of food. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, we look forward to a return visit. more

Date 17th may 2008 Reviewer Hampshire Travellers We have been lucky enough to stay at Le Montrachet a number of times over the last 15 years and it has become a firm favourite as a stopover when travelling through France. We noticed the menu had undergone a distinct change in style a few years ago, but unlike another reviewer, we... more

We found Le Montrachet last year when we called for coffee. We liked it then and decided to stay for a night on our tour of the vineyards this September. We were not disappointed. Arriving at 1.30 we asked if we could have some lunch. It was excellent and so we looked forward to dinner. This was probably the best... more

My wife and I stayed at Le Montrachet in 1999 and we really loved it so as we were back in the Burgundy area we decided to try it again. Unfortunately it seems to have gone downhill - the rooms are a good size (for France) and the bathroom was fine. But it was in the restaurant that we found... more
