I spent there 2 weeks for a professional trip and it has really not met my expectations. I have got to stay there as unfortunately, most of the 3* hotels were full at that period. Global experience was rather unsatisfactory. If indeed this hotel is from an outside point of view beautifull (nice little garden, castel, stylish dining room), it... more

Actually, we have had a bug problem at the time, but this is not a problem of cleanliness of the hotel. The bed bugs are brought by passengers, and they only come out by night. It is just impossible for the staff to find them except by the unfortunate experience of a client. It was the first time we had...

We spent 4 nights here in between 2 cycling tours, and it met our requirements for a relaxing few days. It is a stylish property set in pleasant gardens, our room was large, well furnished and very quiet. The staff are very helpful, and the 1 occasion we had dinner at the hotel we thought the dining room was splendid,... more

I stayed at this hotel for three nights in early March. The room was spacious but smelly. The furniture was old (antique?) and the bed was also very hard. The hotel has a very long history. If you were into the history stuff and wanted to get a feel for the old european decoration, this would be the place. For... more

Maybe our perspective was tarnished by the bad Alpine weather, but our recent stay at this hotel was disappointing - so much so that we checked out after a day (we had booked 11 nights!) and went somewhere else. The hotel would be fine as a stopover for a night or two, but the gardens are much smaller than you... more

We had one night at the Chateau - the staff there are very friendly and the food was wonderful. The disappointing thing was the setting. Personally , I imagined it to be more secluded and higher up a mountain! It's surrounded by houses. We had a room at the bottom of the annexe. Room was large and clean but not... more

We have just returned from a week at the Chateau. We stayed in a spacious room in the side annex with our 3 yr old daughter. The room was pretty good, both clean comfortable and spacious. They made up a sofa bed for our duaghter but didn't put it up and down every day so it made the room more... more

This place is just gorgeous, the grounds and the chateau are beautiful - surrounded by a backdrop of mountains. Our room was great with a cute little balcony. The bathroom was big, the only downside being that there was no shower curtain! The bed unfortunately was small and extremely soft, making a dip in the middle. We were recommended to... more

Couldn't fault the hotel in any way, except we stayed in the old building, on the top floor, without a lift - it was quite a trek up the stairs with our luggage, but the room in the roof was great when we got there, with good views of the mountains. Caroline the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast... more

Wow! What a find! We were stopping over in Grenoble for one night after skiing in Val Disere and thought we'd try the Chateau de la Commanderie. What a shame it was just one night! We drove through the gates and felt like we went back in time! The grounds are well kept, amazing old buildings, a pool for summer,... more

The Chateau is about 10 min from the hustle and bustle of downtown Grenoble. A wonderful place to just get away and relax. The hotel is tastefully decorated in 18th century decor and antiques, and the staff is of the up most assistance when you need them. I would not only highly recommend this place; I would stay here again... more
