We went for dinner on my birthday which being mid- week in January means it's pretty quiet in the area. The restaurant had enough diners to make for a good atmosphere. We were treated very well by charming staff who accommodated our poor French with good humour. We live locally but have never been before and it was well worth... More

We really enjoyed our stay here, it has an unbeatable location. Do pay for a room with a view , but don't go half board I would say. You can walk into town so easily. Lunch was excellent. I am also glad that my sunglasses and reading glasses I left in my bathrobe were returned to me by post! Tour... More

We came to this hotel 3 years ago and loved it so decided to head there again after driving from Monte Blanc. The hotel was deserted. A man came to reception and was very abrupt, cold and unfriendly. We told him that we stayed here 3 years ago and he did not even acknowledge it, no "welcome back" or "great... More

Stayed at this stunningly situated hotel for a whole week, very quiet and ideal for re-charging the batteries, however, apart from the receptionist, the staff were a little aloof, would have been nice while sitting around the pool to be asked for a drink now and then, but unfortunately you have to go up to the terrace!! The menu for... More

We had a lovely stay here, very quiet and serene: we were practically the only ones by the pool every day which was lovely. The service was mixed - one fabulous waiter but otherwise fairly slow but we weren't in a rush so that didn't matter so much to us. The one thing I would advise is to avoid the... More

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch with the best views of the holiday. Delicious food, salmon, beef fillet, fresh fish, lamb cutlets that melted in your mouth. Friendly staff, not cheap but worth it. Grand piano is available for guests to play.

we had a family meal here with relatives that live close by. the setting is idyllic - a lovely terrace with lights in the trees over looking the valley and hills beyond. however the good was very, very average and the service very, very slow, even by French standards. the whole place, staff, food, atmosphere, it just didn't seem cohesive... We needed to find a location near our driving route (Gorge du Verdon) and did a search on Google Earth to find this spot and it did not disappoint. Although the property is new it looks to be something from the middle ages but with all of the modern amenities that you would expect. The view from the terrace and... More

Our visit was a little out of the season, so there was only a few people at that time. This also meant, that there was also very small occupation and sometimes we had to serve ourselves. But the hotel was great, view magnificent and environment nice and clean. Perhaps they could lower the prices during low season a little bit.... More
