The proximity of Nigloland doesn't detract from a very pleasant hotel which provides an excellent stopover on the way to or back from the Alps/ South of France. Rates are reasonable and we got an improved rate by booking direct with the hotel. The half board deal was also good value and the food presented was very good and the... More

We stayed here overnight early in the new year when a good many hotels were closed for their winter break. The water mill has been converted into a restaurant and dining room full of character. An extension houses the main bedrooms of similar size which is adequate and with nice balconies for warmer weather. Our bedrooms were comfortable and everyone... More

Even though slightly off the beaten track from the motorway this was a good stop over on the way to the Alpes. Exactly half way from Calais it worked well. The room was fine and the bed was so comfy, and good curtains, we slept so well! The main man was extremely attentive and friendly.

A pleasant hotel situated in a small village in which is also located a theme park, Nigloland. However, this was not open and the village was therefore very quiet and peaceful. A high speed railway line runs adjacent to the hotel which provides short bursts of noise but as this did not operate at night it did not detract from... More

We decided to stay here for a couple of nights because we wanted to be in the countryside and the hotel is part of the chain "Relais du silence." But there is no silence to be found in these outdated rooms when passanger and cargo trains pass all day and night, approximately every two hours. WIFI worked, but not the... More

We stayed here one night on our way from Alps to Northern France. Smallish room but perfectly adequate. Reasonable pool. We could hear some sound from the theme park during the day but it was not loud. Food in restaurant was very good as was champagne. Staff were helpful and polite.

Beautiful location by the river. There is a railway which runs fairly close by but not too busy and we were not troubled by noise. There is also a theme park in the village but is low key (not an Alton Towers) and in no way interferes with your stay. Good heated swimming pool and pleasant grounds. Helpful staff excellent... We stayed her while driving to the alps in the summer. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The bedroom was comfortable. I agree with other comments about the décor which is a little tired . Wandering around the village in the evening was a great break from driving
