My wife and I stayed at the beginning of August for 1 night in a Standard Double room. The room was adequate in size and very clean, with a beautiful bathroom. The bed was comfortable and noise minimal, apart from some noise from the Japanese Garden until 00:30am. This would only be heard on a Wednesday night when they light... More

We found Chateau Colbert in our trusty Michelin Guide and it did not disappoint. A real taste of luxury, and (for what you get) not expensive - a lot cheaper than London, say. It's worth going the extra bit and choosing one of the Luxe rooms (170euros) as it's an experience you'll always compare other hotels by. Great restaurant too,... More

Myself and my partner stayed here for one night in August as it had been a must for me while visiting the area (after seeing pictures and reading previous reviews). As luck would have it the nearby Japanese Gardens were not open that evening and this was a big disappointment for me as I had particularly wanted to see the... More

Stayed for two nights at #106 and #107. Location was away from all major Chateaus, which you'll need 1 hours to 1 & 1/2 hours drive on half local narrow two lanes road and half highway. You will need good GPS to drive around. Chateau Colbert itself was beautiful and well maintained. It has its own garden, and you can... More

Went there with my wife and 2 daughters (under 9). Location is great, staff friendly, view from the room breathtaking... the only regret is not having ac in summer but I guess royals didn't enjoy it either so it might be part of the journey into the past! The bathroom is great, modern and comfortable. Thumbs up, we highly recomnend... More

Chateau don't usually fit into our budget. So we were very very pleased to find this gem rather large diamond! The location to Puy de Fou was excellent, the village with its amazing Japanese garden and the tourist info center with the excellent tour de france display was a treat. But the restaurant was our icing on the cake. We... More

Have been here several times and the standards have never slipped. Had - 1 Menu Colbert (€46) 1 Menu Terroir €(33) 2 Children's menus (cheap!) Amuse-bouche,cheese course, lovely home-made bread. The standard of cooking, quality of food and its presentation were all sublime. Service excellent-attentive,efficient and friendly. We've never been disappointed here, and the rooms are pretty good value if you want to... More

We stayed for one night 1st August. Lovely smiling welcome, peaceful room with great bathroom, comfortable bed, delightful view of gardens and river. Dinner offered plenty of menu options and genuine five star food and service. Breakfast was probably the best buffet breakfast we have ever been offered anywhere in the world. We are already working on our next visit.... More

Invited for a Week end, this place is really a perfect one: big room, very well renovated, quite with a somptuous view on the "Parc Maulvrier". Huge height of rooms: more than 4 meters. Clean and confortable bathroom. The restaurant was really excellent: nice room, fridendly staff and the menu was really perfect. Travelling very often across Europe, I definitly... More

Very nice, old castle. The standard top rooms (which were used for the maids) are cosy and interesting, with an old wooden staircase for the servants. The Rooms on the 1st floor are large Rooms, with floor to ceiling windows. Very nice park adjacent to a Japanese garden.
