High quality place to rest in a renacentish building, good place to read, rest, eat and breath. Good food and amazing view from the restaurant, service dedicated and especial care for details. Small place close to a medieval Castell. Unfortunate crisis can close this parador.

We arrived late and departed early but loved the room we stayed in - enjoyed a couple of wines on the balcony until the bar shut (early). Fantastic selection of rooms to sit in or wander through - loved the staircases to our room. my first Parador so points for that and for an authentic feel and look.

Once again a wonderful Parador. Very helpful staff, lovely rooms. We had breakfast and dinner in the dining room - excellent. The Parador has so many rooms available for use by the guests, to just sit and read or contemplate or chat. The pool was good with view over the country side. Men's haircuts in town are only $7 euro.

Lovely old castle which has undergone several conversions and updates into present hotel. Lots of interest in the property itself (including a tower you can climb up). Rooms vary a fair bit in size and shape, ours was not large but reasonably well appointed in traditional style, and clean. Bathroom was a little tired but all functioned well, other than... More

The Parador of Oropesa offers great views over the valley to Gredos Mountains. The building is lovely, something in between a castle and an old large farm. Rooms are great too. Yet, the service in this Parador isn't very good. Staff is slow and uninterested. Guests aren't very important to them. Compared to the price, this is not OK at... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, sandwiched in between two long traveling days. It's a fantastic building -- a large palace with lots of salons to explore -- and the room we had was also very nice -- reasonably spacious looking out onto the small town of Oropesa. As others have said it is a small town but I think... More

We recently stayed one night at this Parador on our way up to Bilbao. The room we had was rather small and dark, but this did not worry us unduly as it is a very old historic building. The staff were typically Spanish in that the service was a little surly and they did not go out of their way... More

I think a one night stay at this Parador would have been fine but on our "Ruta" we were there for 2 nights. The Parador is a Palace adjacent to a Castle but once you have seen the castle (extra charge), Oropesa doesn't offer much apart from some bars and cafes. The tourist info doesn't even provide any help and... More

we stayed here for one night on our road trip through spain as we travelled from sevilla to madrid. wonderful setting, spectacular scenery. the room was bigger than i expected and had a view onto the castle courtyard. the birds were constantly chirping (which i like) and i really enjoyed how appropriately decorated the whole place was. it was in... We enjoyed this Parador for its charming building and public rooms, you felt like you were staying in a very elegant country home like a french chateau. The room was surprisingly good, the bed had a halftester and the bathroom was very roomy. We had paid the minimum by opting for the new fixed price deal(100 euros), which was a... More
