After a morning's walk around the Gargrave countryside and canal towpath, we, a group of 5, wandered into the Mason's Arms for lunch, good decision. Warm welcome, warm open fire, delicious meals all round, tasty pints of Wainwright ale, excellent friendly (and patient!) service; highly recommended.

Spent just one night in twin room, Friendly greeting on arrival and I like the booking for breakfast. It saves a lot of waste! The breakfast was hot and freshly cooked by the landlord and the local sausages were exceptional. To get fresh berries and starwberrys along with breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. I think the rooms could do... More

An excellent lunch with a couple of hand pulled ales. Despite being from Salford, the young lady who served us joined in our banter. Hopefully we will visit the place again after a walk in the near future.

We were walking in the Yorkshire Dales with two friends for a couple of days and happened across this little pub/hotel in Gargrave. Our friends were over in Bolton Abbey which meant it was a bit further than we had expected to travel each day but not too far. The hotel rooms are at the back of the pub in... More

Just back from our stay in the Masons arms in Gargrave. The hotel was superb. not what i expected but much better. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped into the place. not only by staff but locals as well. Our room number 1 was fully equipped for disabled guests for disabled guests. Being disabled made... More

The welcome we received, the quality of the food and the accommodation were all excellent ... just what we wanted for a two-day-away trip to celebrate our 41st Wedding Anniversary. This part of Yorkshire is very scenic and the weather was fine!

Stayed here two nights in order to see the Puppet Festival in Skipton. Discovered I had unknowingly booked the disabled access room which I would not recommend. Lacked set of drawers to store clothes. Only one bedside table. Noisy as hell from room above. Interesting to have a shower seated. BUT breakfast was amazing in size and quality with great... More

Lovely 2 night stay at the Masons Arms. Very friendly owner, nothing was too much trouble. Our Room was very clean and tidy and the large bed was very comfortable. The Breakfasts were excellent, plenty of everything on offer. By choice we also ate at the Masons Arms each night and again fantastic food at a very reasonable price. I... More

Very friendly people, Good menu. Stopped in Premier Inn, down the road but ate two nights in the pub. Far better than a Brewers Fayre. Ate Steak pie, Sea Bass, Curry and Fried Fish all very nice and good value. Nice beer garden and bar area. Obviously popular with locals and accommodating walkers and cyclists in B & B rooms.
