House, room, location all were excellent. Best breakfast I have ever had. Owners are top notch, high integrity, service oriented hosts. They drove me and picked me up from a destination when a taxi was unavailable and even dropped off a sportcoat I left behind at my next hotel! Would book again in a heartbeat.

the owners are rude, disrespectful and obnoxious and in no way reflect the beauty of the spot in which the property is located. They truly spoilt my families visit to gargrave. They made it grave! Fortunately it is for sale let's hope someone nice buys it.

We are a retired couple and were cycling along the Leeds Liverpool canal. This was a good stopping point on the first day. We had a room on the top floor and no lift which was not a problem for us. It was a lovely large room with views out over the River Aire and the green. It was very... More

We stayed 3 nights in a delightful, comfortable, clean, pretty B&B! Great hosts, fantastic breakfasts, great views, comfortable bed etc. Gargrave is a lovely village too. We were delighted with our find and can't revommend it enough, thanks Kath and Keith.

I stayed for one night while walking the Pennine way and it was brilliant. The friendliest hosts you could ask for, big comfy bed, idyllic spot and a breakfast of champions. Can't recommend this place enough!

We were visiting Gargrave for a few nights to meet friends who were also staying locally. We had the choice of the Travelodge too but we're so glad that we chose River Cottage. Keith and Kathy were incredible hospitable and gave us suggestions for pubs/outings in the vicinity, without being intrusive. Breakfast was always excellent and individual needs were always... More

Felt very welcome at River Cottage. It's in a beautiful little village, which has everything you need. A fab local pub and an excellent Indian Restaurant. The cottage is right on the river bank, and has easy access to the whole village. Your hosts are lovely, and are happy to have a good chin wag over the wonderful breakfast. The... More

Stayed here for two nights on 6th & 7th September 2014. What an absolute gem. The rooms were very spacious the bathroom was generous and all very clean & tidy. The 200 year old renovated cottage was absolutely charming. The breakfast was very generous with plenty of choices to suit anyone. Then there were Keith & Kath what delightful hosts... More

Only stayed one night whilst attending event at village hall. Just about perfect B&B accommodation, a lovely large bedroom with 2 settees, comfy bed and very well lit which often isn't the case. Excellent breakfast with good fruit and cooked food. And very nice, friendly hosts, helpful with local information. A benchmark for the business.

The accolades given to Keith and Kath on this website are well deserved. Comfortable and spotless accommodation, a nice ambiance and an excellent breakfast with great choice for a small establishment.
