We were visiting Gargrave for a few nights to meet friends who were also staying locally. We had the choice of the Travelodge too but we're so glad that we chose River Cottage. Keith and Kathy were incredible hospitable and gave us suggestions for pubs/outings in the vicinity, without being intrusive. Breakfast was always excellent and individual needs were always... More

Felt very welcome at River Cottage. It's in a beautiful little village, which has everything you need. A fab local pub and an excellent Indian Restaurant. The cottage is right on the river bank, and has easy access to the whole village. Your hosts are lovely, and are happy to have a good chin wag over the wonderful breakfast. The... More

Stayed here for two nights on 6th & 7th September 2014. What an absolute gem. The rooms were very spacious the bathroom was generous and all very clean & tidy. The 200 year old renovated cottage was absolutely charming. The breakfast was very generous with plenty of choices to suit anyone. Then there were Keith & Kath what delightful hosts... More

Only stayed one night whilst attending event at village hall. Just about perfect B&B accommodation, a lovely large bedroom with 2 settees, comfy bed and very well lit which often isn't the case. Excellent breakfast with good fruit and cooked food. And very nice, friendly hosts, helpful with local information. A benchmark for the business.

The accolades given to Keith and Kath on this website are well deserved. Comfortable and spotless accommodation, a nice ambiance and an excellent breakfast with great choice for a small establishment.

My wife and I stayed here following a wedding in the area. A warm welcome and help with our luggage was much appreciated and a lift to pick our car up from the reception venue underlined Keith's and Kaths' commitment to great service. A wonderful breakfast rounded off an excellent but short stay.

My husband and I stayed here when attending a wedding in the area. We had asked if we could check in early so we could change before going to the wedding - this was not a problem. I had a voicemail to tell me that the room was ready when we were on route to the B and B. When... More

A friend and I stayed for only one night on our walk from Leeds to Liverpool along the canal. Kath & Keith also recommended the Bollywood Cottage Restaurant, situated across the road from the house, excellent food at the right price. In summary, a most enjoyable experience, and I would certainly go back.

Both myself and partner felt incredibly welcomed and at home during our overnight stay with kath and Keith. It's the little touches that really make the difference - kath ironing my partners shirt for a wedding ( thank goodness as I would have made a pigs ear of the job) to a later checkout offered to save us waiting too...
