A friend and I stayed here for a couple of nights on our way to and back from the Isle Of Man. Excellent B&B, particularly if en-route to or from the ferry port at Heysham. There is a nice little pub about 10 min walk into the village too (The Royal Hotel) and the ferry port is less than 5... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel following our late return home from the Isle of Man TT races. Although we didn't arrive at the hotel until 12.45am, upon arrival our keys, breakfast request form and Wi-Fi details were waiting for us. We stayed in room 7 which was beautiful, modern and immaculate! There was also a good choice... More

We stayed on Friday evening following our return from the Isle of Man TT. Hotel is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal so is perfectly located if you are travelling as a foot passenger. Our room was huge, extremely comfortable and very well appointed. We slept like logs! We completed our breakfast order when we checked... More

Lots of Spanish wines but only 2 Spanish beers available ( go down alley to Porterhouse... More

I sailed across from the Isle of Man on a Friday evening and within 5 minutes I was at the Port House, 2 minutes later in my very spacious bedroom and 20 minutes after that I was fast asleep! The next morning I awoke refreshed having had an excellent night sleep and took stock of my room. It was large... More

We arrived very late at night yet everything was perfectly prepared for us. We booked a standard room - what we got would deserve to be called a state room or suite. It was very spacious, beautifully furnished and the bathroom was similar. Breakfast leaves naught to be desired (even though we showed up late). Highly recommended.

I stay in a lot of hotels/b&bs with work and when I come to Lancashire I always look forward to my stay at the Port House. The decor is fresh and contemporary, the beds are sooo comfy but the breakfast. ...outstanding. Quality food, beautifully cooked and piping hot. Lots of extra touches that make all the difference. Look forward to... More

We stayed at The Port House for one night for a family wedding. We had a warm welcome from Jack. We booked the executive suite on the top floor. Our room was really lovely, spacious and clean. No clutter in the room and more importantly none on the table at breakfast. Although ordered the night before the breakfasts are cooked... More
